5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the alarm clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
5.2 Battery Replacement
If the battery backup function is not working as expected (e.g., settings are lost during a brief power outage), replace the 2 AAA batteries in the compartment on the bottom of the clock.
6. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the clock and a working wall outlet. Check if the dimmer setting is at its lowest level.
- Alarm is not sounding: Verify that the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible on display). Check the alarm volume setting. Ensure the alarm time is correctly set for AM/PM and the desired day mode (Mon-Sun, Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun).
- Time/settings lost after power outage: Confirm that 2 AAA batteries are correctly installed in the battery backup compartment. Remember that the battery backup only preserves settings and does not power the display during an outage.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Disconnect the power adapter for a few minutes, then reconnect it to perform a soft reset. If the issue persists, replace the backup batteries.
- USB charging not working: Ensure the alarm clock is connected to a wall outlet. Check the charging cable and the device being charged.
