Setup
1. Connecting the Printer
Before connecting, ensure the printer is powered off.
- Connect Power: Insert the power adapter cable into the DC 12V/3A power port on the back of the printer. Plug the other end into a suitable power outlet.
- Connect USB: Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the USB port on the printer and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
- Connect Cash Drawer (Optional): If using a cash drawer, connect its cable to the DC 12V/1A cash drawer port on the printer.

2. Loading Thermal Paper
When loading paper, ensure the printer is powered off.
- Open the Cover: Press the cover open button (usually located on the side or front) to open the top cover of the printer.
- Insert Paper Roll: Place the 58mm thermal paper roll into the paper compartment with the printing surface facing upwards. Ensure the roll is seated correctly.
- Close the Cover: Pull a small amount of paper out past the cutter and close the top cover firmly until it clicks into place.

3. Driver Installation
To enable communication between your computer and the printer, you must install the appropriate drivers.

- Operating System Compatibility: Drivers are available for Windows 9X / 2000 / 2003 / XP / Vista / 7 / 8 and Linux.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
Press the power button located on the front of the printer to turn it on or off. The status indicator lights will illuminate when the printer is powered on.

2. Printing a Receipt
Once the drivers are installed and the printer is connected and powered on, you can print from your application (e.g., POS software, word processor).
- Open the document or application from which you wish to print.
- Select the "Print" option (usually found under "File" menu).
- Choose "Irfora POS-5890K" or the installed printer name from the list of available printers.
- Adjust any print settings as needed (e.g., paper size, orientation).
- Click "Print" to send the job to the printer.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Printer Head
Regular cleaning helps maintain print quality and extends the life of the printer head.
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable.
- Open the top cover.
- Gently wipe the thermal print head (the dark strip inside the cover) with a soft cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
- Allow the print head to dry completely before closing the cover and reconnecting power.
2. Replacing Thermal Paper
When the paper roll is depleted, follow the steps outlined in the "Loading Thermal Paper" section under Setup to replace it with a new 58mm thermal paper roll.
