6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient performance of your range hood.
Cleaning the Grease Filters:
The aluminum grease filters should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to prevent grease buildup and maintain suction efficiency.
- Remove Filters: Carefully unlatch and remove the aluminum grease filters from the hood.
- Clean: Wash the filters by hand in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. For stubborn grease, a degreasing agent can be used.
- Dry and Reinstall: Ensure filters are completely dry before reinserting them into the hood.
Replacing the Carbon Filter (Recirculation Mode Only):
If you are using the hood in recirculation mode, the carbon filter (CBCF009) needs to be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage) as it cannot be washed.
- Remove Grease Filters: First, remove the aluminum grease filters to access the carbon filter.
- Remove Old Carbon Filter: Detach the used carbon filter.
- Install New Carbon Filter: Attach the new carbon filter, ensuring it is securely in place.
- Reinstall Grease Filters: Place the aluminum grease filters back into position.
Cleaning the Hood Surface:
Clean the stainless steel surface of the hood regularly with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the finish.
