Operating Instructions

Engine Oil Extraction (Manual Mode)

  1. Warm Up Oil: For optimal extraction, warm up the engine oil by running the engine for a few minutes. This makes the oil less viscous.
  2. Remove Dipstick: Locate and remove the engine oil dipstick.
  3. Insert Tube: Carefully insert the connected main and extension tubes into the dipstick pipe until it reaches the bottom of the oil pan.
  4. Pump Handle: Close the air control valve (if applicable) and continuously pump the handle 10-20 times to create a strong vacuum. The fluid will begin to extract automatically once a siphon is established. Continue pumping as needed to maintain vacuum.
  5. Monitor Extraction: Observe the transparent main hose to monitor the oil flow and quality. The markings on the side of the tank help track the amount of oil removed.

Brake Fluid Change

The extractor can also be used for brake fluid bleeding:

  1. Connect Bleeding Hose: Attach the dedicated 19" brake bleeding hose to the main unit.
  2. Connect to Caliper: Connect the other end of the bleeding hose to the brake caliper's bleed screw.
  3. Bleed Brakes: Follow standard brake bleeding procedures, using the hand pump to create vacuum and draw out old brake fluid. Ensure the brake fluid reservoir does not run dry.

Fluid Disposal

Once extraction is complete, remove the main hose. Attach the waste oil nozzle (pour spout) to the designated opening on the tank. Carefully pour the used fluid into a suitable container for recycling or proper disposal. Do not exceed the limited line on the tank.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the tubes and the main container thoroughly to prevent contamination and prolong the life of the unit.
  • Storage: Store the extractor in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Check Seals: Periodically inspect all hoses, connections, and seals for any signs of wear or damage. Replace worn parts using the provided replacement components.

Troubleshooting

  • Loss of Vacuum: Check all connections for tightness. Ensure the main tube and extension tubes are securely fitted. Inspect rubber seals and the pressure release plug for damage.
  • Slow Extraction: Ensure the fluid is adequately warm. Verify that the tube is inserted correctly to the bottom of the fluid reservoir. Check for any kinks or blockages in the hoses.
