- Gloves: Wear protective gloves to avoid contact with vacuum pump oil or refrigerants.
- Ventilation: Operate the pump in a well-ventilated area.
- Power Source: Ensure the battery and charger are compatible with the local power supply.
- Oil Level: NEVER run the pump with no or insufficient oil. Check the oil level before each use.
- Flammable Materials: Do not operate near flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Maintenance: Only perform maintenance as described in this manual. Refer all other servicing to qualified personnel.
- Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery and charger. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures or disassemble it.
4. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup of your vacuum pump:
- Charge the Battery:
Before first use, fully charge the provided lithium-ion battery using the included charger. The battery indicator lights will show the charging status. A full charge provides approximately 70 minutes of continuous operation.

- Install the Battery:
Once charged, slide the battery pack firmly into the battery slot on the vacuum pump until it clicks into place.
- Check Oil Level:
Locate the sight glass on the side of the pump. The oil level should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks. If the oil level is low, add the provided vacuum pump oil through the oil fill port until the correct level is reached. Ensure the oil cap is securely tightened after filling.

5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate the vacuum pump for HVAC system evacuation:
- Prepare the System:
Ensure the HVAC system is properly connected to your manifold gauge set and the vacuum pump. All valves should be closed initially.
- Start the Pump:
Flip the power switch on the vacuum pump to the "ON" position. The pump will begin to operate quietly.

- Open Manifold Valves:
Slowly open the high-side and low-side valves on your manifold gauge set to begin evacuating the system. Monitor the vacuum gauge reading.
- Achieve Desired Vacuum:
Allow the pump to run until the desired vacuum level is achieved (e.g., 37.5 microns or 5 Pa for deep vacuum). The pump's efficient design ensures rapid evacuation.
- Close Manifold Valves:
Once the desired vacuum is reached, close the high-side and low-side valves on the manifold gauge set.
- Turn Off the Pump:
Flip the power switch on the vacuum pump to the "OFF" position.
- Disconnect Hoses:
Carefully disconnect the hoses from the vacuum pump and the HVAC system. Be aware of any residual pressure or vacuum.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your vacuum pump.
6.1 Oil Change
Vacuum pump oil should be changed regularly, especially if it appears cloudy or discolored. Dirty oil reduces pump efficiency and can cause damage.
- Drain Old Oil:
Place a suitable container under the oil drain plug. Remove the drain plug and the oil fill cap to allow the old oil to drain completely.
- Refill with New Oil:
Replace the drain plug. Pour new, clean vacuum pump oil into the oil fill port until the level reaches between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks on the sight glass. Use only high-quality vacuum pump oil.
- Secure Cap:
Securely tighten the oil fill cap.
6.2 Cleaning
Wipe down the exterior of the pump with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep the air vents clear of debris.
6.3 Storage
When not in use, store the vacuum pump in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the oil level is correct before storing for extended periods.
