Using a sharp tool, such as strong scissors or a utility knife, carefully cut out the damaged portion of the hose. Ensure the cuts are clean and straight on both sides of the damaged area to allow for a proper connection.

Figure 2: A pair of scissors being used to make a clean, straight cut through the corrugated vacuum cleaner hose.
Take one of the MisterVac TubeFix connectors. Twist and push one end of the cut hose onto one side of the connector. Repeat this process with the other end of the hose and the other side of the connector. Ensure both hose ends are securely and fully seated onto the connector's threading for a tight seal.

Figure 3: A white TubeFix connector being twisted into the corrugated ends of the vacuum cleaner hose, indicated by a red arrow showing the twisting motion.
Once both ends of the hose are firmly attached to the repair connector, gently pull on the hose to ensure the connection is secure. The hose is now repaired and ready for use.

After the repair is complete, the hose can be used normally with your vacuum cleaner. Ensure all connections to the vacuum cleaner unit and attachments are secure before operation.
Regularly inspect the repaired section of the hose for any signs of wear or loosening. While the TubeFix kit provides a durable repair, proper handling of the vacuum cleaner hose will extend its lifespan. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling that could stress the hose or the repaired joint.
