6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Initial Boot-up

After all components are installed and connected, power on your system. The system should perform a Power-On Self-Test (POST). If successful, you will see a display on your monitor.

6.2 BIOS/UEFI Setup

During boot-up, press the designated key (usually DEL or F2) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility. Here you can configure system settings, boot order, and other advanced options.

6.3 Operating System and Driver Installation

Install your preferred operating system (e.g., Windows, Linux) from a bootable USB drive or DVD. After OS installation, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard's chipset, audio, LAN, and integrated graphics (if used) from the manufacturer's website or included media.

7. Maintenance

  • Dust Cleaning: Regularly clean dust from inside your computer case and motherboard components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Connection Checks: Periodically check all cables and components to ensure they are securely seated.
  • BIOS Updates: Only update the BIOS if necessary, following the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Incorrect BIOS updates can damage the motherboard.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the PSU is switched on, all power cables (24-pin ATX, 4-pin CPU) are securely connected, and the front panel power switch cable is correctly attached.
  • No Display: Check monitor connections (VGA/HD Multimedia Interface), ensure the graphics card (if dedicated) is properly seated and powered, and try reseating RAM modules.
  • Boot Device Not Found: Verify that your storage drive (SSD/HDD) is correctly connected via SATA or M.2, and check the boot order in BIOS/UEFI settings.
  • System Instability: Reseat RAM, check CPU cooler installation, and ensure proper case ventilation.
