Main Components:

• Digital Control Panel: Touch-sensitive display for setting time, temperature, and selecting presets.
• Air Inlet: Located on the top of the unit, for air circulation.
• Air Outlet: Located at the back of the unit, for hot air exhaust.
• Cooking Basket: Removable basket for holding food. Features a non-stick coating.
• Trivet Tray: Removable tray inside the cooking basket, also with non-stick coating.
• Handle: Ergonomic handle for safely pulling out the cooking basket.

Setup and First Use

1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
2. Clean the cooking basket and trivet tray thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. These parts are dishwasher safe.
3. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
4. Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and level surface. Do not place the appliance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.
5. Ensure there is at least 10 cm of free space on the back and sides, and 10 cm above the appliance.
6. Plug the appliance into a grounded wall outlet.
7. It is recommended to run the air fryer for about 10 minutes on its highest temperature setting without any food inside to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor may be present, which is normal.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation:

1. Place the trivet tray inside the cooking basket.
2. Place the food ingredients into the cooking basket. Do not overfill.
3. Slide the cooking basket back into the air fryer.
4. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet. The power button will illuminate.
5. Press the power button to turn on the appliance.
6. Use the temperature and time control buttons (+ and -) to set your desired cooking temperature and time. The temperature range is typically 80°C to 200°C, and time up to 60 minutes.
7. Press the power button again to start the cooking process.

Using Preset Functions:

The Milex 7L Digital Air Fryer features 12 preset functions for common dishes. To use a preset:

1. After turning on the appliance, press the 'M' (Mode) button repeatedly to cycle through the preset icons.
2. Once the desired preset icon is selected, the air fryer will automatically set the optimal temperature and time.
3. Press the power button to start cooking.

Shake Reminder:

For certain recipes, the air fryer will emit a 'shake' reminder during the cooking cycle. This indicates that the food should be shaken or flipped for even cooking. Simply pull out the basket, shake the contents, and reinsert the basket to resume cooking.

Cooking Tips:

• Smaller ingredients usually require a slightly shorter cooking time than larger ingredients.
• A larger amount of ingredients only requires a slightly longer cooking time.
• Shaking smaller ingredients halfway through the cooking time optimizes the end result and can help prevent unevenly fried ingredients.
• Add some oil to fresh potatoes for a crispy result. Fry your ingredients in the air fryer within a few minutes after you added the oil.
• Snacks that can be prepared in an oven can also be prepared in the air fryer.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air fryer.

1. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
2. Clean the cooking basket and trivet tray after every use. They are dishwasher safe, or can be washed with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean the non-stick surfaces, as this may damage the coating.
4. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
5. Clean the heating element inside the air fryer with a cleaning brush to remove any food residues.
6. Store the appliance in a dry and safe place once clean and dry.
