6. Operation

6.1. Fog Output Control

The Katomi UKLED-700 offers two methods for controlling fog output: a wired remote and a wireless remote.

Automatic and Manual Fog Spraying Modes

Figure 6.1: This image illustrates the automatic and manual spraying modes. The top panel shows activating the automatic mode via a switch, leading to preheating and subsequent fog output. The bottom panel shows turning off the automatic switch for manual control, where the wireless remote can be used to trigger fog after preheating.

Wired Remote Control

  • Once preheated, press the button on the wired remote to emit fog. Release the button to stop.
  • The wired remote has a 3-meter cable, allowing control from a short distance.

Wireless Remote Control

  • The wireless remote allows control from up to 10 meters away.
  • Press the fog button on the wireless remote to activate fog output.
Wireless Remote Control Range

Figure 6.2: This image demonstrates the wireless control range of the fog machine, indicating that fog can be released from up to 3 meters (approximately 9.8 feet) away using the wireless remote.

Automatic Spraying Mode

  • Locate the "Spray Switch" on the back of the machine.
  • Flip the "Spray Switch" to the "ON" position to activate automatic spraying. The machine will preheat and then periodically emit fog.
  • To stop automatic spraying, flip the "Spray Switch" to the "OFF" position.

6.2. LED Light Effects

The machine features 8 LED lights that can produce 13 different color effects.

13 Colored 8 LED Light Effects

Figure 6.3: This image displays various colored fog outputs, demonstrating the 13 different color effects achievable with the 8 LED lights, including red, green, blue, purple, yellow, and cyan.

  • LED Switch: Use the "LED SWITCH" on the back of the machine to turn the LED lights on or off independently of the fog function.
  • Wireless Remote Control: The wireless remote has dedicated buttons for controlling the LED colors and effects (e.g., red, green, blue, mixed colors like cyan, magenta, yellow, white, and various speeds/modes like fade, flash, strobe, smooth).

6.3. Dual Functionality and Protection

The machine is designed with three protection switches. You can activate both fog and light functions simultaneously, or use them independently.

Only Fog and Only Light Modes

Figure 6.4: This image demonstrates the ability to operate the fog machine in two distinct modes: 'Only Fog' (left panel, with the LED switch off) and 'Only Light' (right panel, with the power switch off and LED switch on, controlled by the wireless remote).

  • To use both fog and lights, ensure both the "POWER" and "LED SWITCH" are in the "ON" position.
  • To use only fog, turn the "POWER" switch to "ON" and the "LED SWITCH" to "OFF".
  • To use only lights, turn the "POWER" switch to "OFF" and the "LED SWITCH" to "ON".

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your fog machine.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Fog Nozzle: Ensure the fog nozzle is clear of any obstructions. If blockages occur, gently clean with a small brush after ensuring the unit is unplugged and cool.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, drain any remaining fog liquid from the tank. Store the machine in a cool, dry place.
  • Liquid Quality: Always use high-quality, water-based fog liquid. Using inferior liquids or other substances can damage the pump and heater.
