Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the removable filter holders, drip tray, and water reservoir with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
4. Water Reservoir: Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (up to 12oz).

5. First Use (Cleaning Cycle): To clean the internal components, fill the water reservoir with water, place an empty mug on the drip tray, and press the power button to run a brewing cycle without coffee. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

Operating Instructions

The Mecity Mini Coffee Maker offers versatile brewing options:

• For K-Cup Capsules: Insert a K-Cup capsule into the K-Cup capsule holder. Ensure the capsule is seated correctly.
• For Ground Coffee or Loose Tea: Use the reusable filter holder. Fill with your desired amount of ground coffee or loose tea. Do not overfill.

1. Add Water: Pour fresh water into the reservoir, up to a maximum of 12oz, corresponding to your desired brew size (6oz, 8oz, 10oz, or 12oz).

2. Insert Filter Holder: Place the chosen filter holder (with K-Cup or ground coffee/tea) into the brewing chamber. Ensure the handle of the holder is placed horizontally so the top lid can close properly.
3. Close Lid: Securely close the top lid.
4. Place Mug: Position your coffee mug on the drip tray directly under the dispenser.
5. Start Brewing: Press the power button once to turn on the machine. The indicator light will illuminate. Press the button again to start the brewing process.

6. Auto Shut-Off: The machine will automatically stop brewing once the water reservoir is empty or the brew cycle is complete. The indicator light will turn off.

Important Note: Do not open the top lid during brewing. Ensure the cover is completely closed when brewing. The removable capsule holder is ONLY for K-cup pods with filter mesh. Do not use Nespresso capsules.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and descaling will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Mecity coffee maker.

• Daily Cleaning:
  • After each use, remove and rinse the filter holder and drip tray with warm water.
  • The unique design of the filter holder makes the brewing chamber easy to clean, preventing odor production.

  • Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
• Descaling:

  Descaling is necessary to remove mineral buildup and maintain brewing performance. The red indicator light will start flashing to remind you to descale.

  1. Pour 12oz of descaling solution (e.g., 20g citric acid with 12oz water) into the water reservoir.
  2. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
  3. Press the power button for 3 seconds to enter descaling mode. The light will flash together.
  4. Once the descaling cycle is complete, discard the water.
  5. Repeat the descaling mode at least 3 times with 12oz of fresh water to thoroughly rinse the product.
  6. The machine will exit descaling mode when cancelled or water runs out.
