Setup and Installation

Mounting the Winch

1. Select a suitable mounting location on your ATV/UTV that can support the winch's weight and pulling forces. A dedicated winch mounting plate is recommended.
2. Position the roller fairlead first, ensuring it is aligned with the winch drum and the intended rope path. Secure it using the provided hardware.
3. Place the winch onto the mounting plate, aligning the mounting holes.
4. Secure the winch using the provided bolts, washers, and nuts. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely.

Electrical Connection

2. Connect the short thick cables from the control box to the winch motor terminals (usually color-coded or marked).
3. Connect the long thick red cable from the control box to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's 12V battery.
4. Connect the long thick black cable from the control box to the negative (-) terminal of your vehicle's 12V battery or a suitable chassis ground point.
5. Connect the wired remote control cable to the receptacle on the control box.
6. Double-check all connections for tightness and proper polarity.

Operating Instructions

Pre-Operation Checklist

• Ensure the winch is securely mounted and all electrical connections are tight.
• Inspect the wire rope for any damage, kinks, or fraying.
• Check the hook and fairlead for proper function.
• Confirm the vehicle's battery is fully charged and the engine is running.

Basic Winch Operation

1. Engage Freespool: Locate the clutch lever on the winch. Rotate it to the "Freespool" position to manually pull out the wire rope.
2. Attach Hook: Pull out enough rope to reach your anchor point. Attach the hook securely to a tree saver strap, shackle, or other appropriate anchor. Ensure the hook's safety latch is closed.
3. Disengage Freespool: Rotate the clutch lever back to the "Engaged" position. This locks the winch drum.
4. Begin Winching: Using the wired remote control, press the "IN" button to start winding the rope onto the drum. Maintain tension on the rope.
5. Monitor Operation: Observe the winching process carefully. Ensure the rope spools evenly and that the winch is not straining excessively. Stop if any unusual noises or resistance occur.
6. Stop Winching: Release the "IN" button on the remote when the pull is complete.
7. Rewind Rope: Once the load is released, carefully rewind any remaining slack rope onto the drum. Ensure it spools neatly under light tension.

Maintenance

Regular Inspection
