4. Setup and Installation
4.1. AC Power Connection
Connect the AC power cord to a standard wall outlet. The Bravo Charger features an automatic BI-VOLT input, adapting to 127V or 220V AC without manual selection.
4.2. DC Output Connection (Battery/System)
Ensure the charger is turned off before making any connections. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the charger to the positive terminal of the battery/system, and the negative (-) terminal of the charger to the negative terminal of the battery/system. Use appropriate gauge cables as specified in your system requirements.

4.3. Parallel Installation
For powering sound equipment and maintaining a charged battery bank using two or more power supplies in parallel, it is crucial to use only the FIXED VOLTAGE mode. All power supplies must be configured for the same output voltage. Smart charge modes (Fast/Slow Charge) should only be used with a single power supply connected.

5. Operating Modes
5.1. Fast Charge Mode
This mode delivers a higher current to the battery, suitable for situations where batteries are significantly discharged and a quick charge is required. The charger will provide maximum current until the battery reaches a full charge, then transition to float mode.
5.2. Slow Charge Mode (Smart Charge System)
The exclusive Smart Charge System in this mode regulates voltages for efficient and gentle charging. It prevents overcharging and excessive heating, which helps to prolong the overall lifespan and performance of your batteries. Once the battery is fully charged, the system automatically switches to a float charge to maintain the charge without damage.
5.3. Fixed Voltage Mode
This mode allows you to select a constant output voltage to directly power audio amplifiers or other 12V DC devices. Available voltage options typically include 12.6Vdc, 14.4Vdc, and 15.4Vdc. This mode is ideal for maintaining a stable power supply to your audio system, even when the vehicle's battery is discharged or not present.
5.4. Adjusting Voltage Settings
The voltage settings (12.6V, 14.4V, 15.4V) can be easily adjusted using the switch located on the side panel of the charger. Refer to Figure 3.3 for the location of the voltage selection switch.
6. Safety Information
- Always ensure proper ventilation around the charger to prevent overheating.
- Do not expose the charger to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
- Avoid short-circuiting the output terminals.
- Do not attempt to open or modify the charger. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
