5. Maintenance
5.1. Transmitter Battery Replacement
The transmitter uses a CR2032 button battery. When the transmitter's performance degrades or it stops working, it may be time to replace the battery. To replace:
- Carefully open the transmitter casing.
- Remove the old CR2032 battery.
- Insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the transmitter casing securely.
5.2. Cleaning
Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish or internal components.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Sound/Light from Receiver: Check if the receiver is properly plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the volume is not set to mute (0dB). Re-pair the transmitter and receiver.
- Transmitter Not Working: Check the transmitter battery. Replace if necessary. Ensure the transmitter is within range of the receiver.
- Reduced Wireless Range: The theoretical maximum signal range is 300m without obstacles. In actual use, walls, metal structures, and other electronic devices can interfere with the signal. Try repositioning the receiver or transmitter to minimize obstructions.
- Interference from Other Devices: If you experience unintended chimes, try changing the melody or re-pairing the units to reset the signal.
