3. General Operation Tips
- For Hedge Trimming: Use the longer blade. Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands (if applicable, for this model it's handheld). Move the trimmer in a smooth, sweeping motion along the hedge. Avoid cutting branches thicker than 0.2 inches (5mm).
- For Grass Shearing: Use the shorter blade. Hold the trimmer at a slight angle to the ground and move it steadily to trim grass edges or small patches.
- Do not force the tool through thick material. If the blades jam, release the trigger immediately and clear the obstruction after removing the battery.
- Monitor the battery indicator to ensure sufficient power during operation.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your MZK trimmer. Always disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance.
1. Cleaning
- After each use, clean the blades and the tool body. Use a stiff brush to remove debris, grass clippings, and sap from the blades.
- Wipe the tool body with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before storage.
2. Blade Care
- Lubricate the blades regularly with light machine oil or a specialized blade lubricant. This helps prevent rust and ensures smooth operation.
- Inspect blades for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace blades as needed. Dull blades can strain the motor and reduce cutting efficiency.
3. Battery Care and Storage
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity. Avoid storing fully charged or completely depleted batteries for extended periods.
- Recharge the battery every 3-6 months during long storage periods to maintain its health.
4. Tool Storage
Store the tool in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Use the blade cover (if included) to protect the blades during storage.
