Installation of the MONDAWE shower system requires basic plumbing knowledge. It is recommended to consult the detailed user manual provided in the package for specific step-by-step instructions. The system uses standard 1/2 inch NPT threads for water connections.
4.1. Rough-in Valve Installation
The rough-in valve body must be securely installed within the wall, ensuring proper alignment and depth according to the provided manual. Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the designated inlets, and the shower head and handheld shower outlets to their respective plumbing lines.

4.2. Trim and Component Installation
Once the rough-in valve is installed and wall finishes are complete, install the decorative cover plate, control handle, diverter knob, shower arm, rainfall shower head, handheld shower holder, and handheld shower with its hose. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
5. Operating Instructions
The MONDAWE shower system is designed for simple and intuitive operation.

Figure 4: Shower control valve with function and temperature controls.
- Turning On/Off and Temperature Control: The main handle controls both water flow and temperature. Rotate the handle to adjust the temperature from cold to hot. Pull the handle outwards to turn on the water and push it inwards to turn it off.
- Function Selection: The smaller knob above the main handle acts as a diverter. Rotate this knob to switch between the rainfall shower head and the handheld shower. Only one function can be active at a time.
- Anti-Scald Protection: The integrated pressure balance valve automatically adjusts water pressure to maintain a consistent temperature, protecting against sudden temperature changes.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MONDAWE shower system.
6.1. Cleaning Shower Head Nozzles
Both the rainfall shower head and handheld shower feature silicone jet nozzles. To remove calcium and lime buildup, simply rub the nozzles with your finger or a soft cloth. This is particularly effective in areas with hard water.

6.2. Cleaning the Finish
To maintain the matte black finish, clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can scratch or damage the finish.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your shower system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Low Water Pressure: Check if the main water supply valve is fully open. Ensure there are no kinks in the shower hose. Clean any mineral buildup from the shower head nozzles.
- Inconsistent Water Temperature: Verify that the hot and cold water supply lines are correctly connected. If the issue persists, the pressure balance valve may require inspection by a professional.
- Leaks: Check all connections for tightness. Ensure that plumber's tape was used on threaded connections during installation. If a leak originates from within the valve body, professional assistance may be required.
- Difficulty Switching Functions: Ensure the diverter knob is fully rotated to the desired position. If it feels stiff, a small amount of silicone grease might be applied to the moving parts (consult a professional if unsure).
