  • Handle sharp metal edges with care during assembly to avoid cuts.

  • Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds (54.4 kg) for the cabinet.
  • Keep children and pets away from the assembly area and from touching hazardous contents stored inside the cabinet.
  • Always use two people for lifting and mounting the cabinet to prevent injury.

Setup and Installation

This section guides you through the assembly and wall-mounting process. It is recommended to have a second person assist with installation.

Tools Required (Not Included):

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Drill
  • Level
  • Measuring Tape
  • Stud Finder (for wall mounting)

Assembly Steps:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. The product is double-wrapped to reduce transport damage.
  2. Assemble Cabinet Frame: Connect the side panels to the top and bottom panels using the provided screws. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Attach Back Panel: Secure the back panel to the assembled frame. The back panel has pre-drilled keyhole slots for wall mounting.
  4. Install Rear Frame Rollers: Before mounting the cabinet to the wall, install the rear frame rollers. This step is easier to complete before the cabinet is elevated.
  5. Mount Cabinet to Wall:
    • Locate wall studs using a stud finder. The keyhole slots on the back panel are approximately 24.75 inches apart. If studs are not aligned, consider attaching horizontal wood boards to studs first, then mounting the cabinet to these boards for secure installation.
    • Mark the desired mounting height and position on the wall. Use a level to ensure accuracy.
    • Drill pilot holes for the mounting screws. Insert wall anchors if mounting into drywall without studs.
    • Partially thread screws into the wall, leaving enough space for the cabinet's keyhole slots to slide over them.
    • Carefully lift the cabinet and align the keyhole slots with the screws. Slide the cabinet down to secure it.
    • Tighten all mounting screws until the cabinet is firmly secured against the wall.
  6. Install Sliding Up-Flip Door: Follow the instructions to install the door mechanism. The door is designed to slide up and into the cabinet.
  7. Insert Adjustable Shelf: Place the adjustable shelf at your desired height.
  8. Install Lock: Secure the lock mechanism and test with the provided keys.

Operating Instructions

Sliding Up-Flip Door:

The cabinet features a unique sliding up-flip door mechanism. To open, gently lift the door and slide it upwards and inwards into the cabinet. This design allows for full access to the cabinet contents without the door obstructing your workspace or posing a head-banging risk. To close, pull the door down and out until it is fully closed.

Locking Mechanism:

The cabinet is equipped with a lock for securing contents. Insert one of the provided keys into the lock and turn to secure or unlock the door. Always ensure the door is fully closed before locking.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Yizosh Metal Garage Cabinet, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the powder-coated finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all mounting screws and hardware to ensure they remain tight and secure. Retighten if necessary.
  • Door Mechanism: If the sliding door mechanism becomes stiff, a small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to the pulley system.
  • Weight Capacity: Do not overload the cabinet beyond its 120 lbs (54.4 kg) weight capacity to prevent structural damage.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Cabinet door does not close completely or hangs open.
  • Cabinet not perfectly level or square during assembly.
  • Door mechanism misaligned.
  • Lack of magnetic closure (if desired).
  • Recheck assembly for squareness and ensure all screws are tightened evenly.
  • Inspect the pulley system for obstructions or misalignment.
  • Consider adding small magnets to the inner lip of the door and cabinet frame for a tighter seal (not included).
Cabinet feels unstable or wobbly after wall mounting.
  • Insufficient anchoring to the wall.
  • Mounting screws not fully tightened.
  • Wall studs not utilized or inadequate anchors used for drywall.
  • Ensure mounting screws are driven into wall studs whenever possible.
  • If mounting to drywall, use heavy-duty toggle bolts or similar anchors rated for the cabinet's weight plus contents.
  • Consider using a French cleat system or horizontal wood boards attached to studs for more secure mounting.
  • Verify all mounting screws are fully tightened.
Difficulty sliding the door.
  • Obstruction in the track.
  • Dust or debris in the pulley system.
  • Misalignment of the door.
  • Check the door tracks and pulley system for any foreign objects.
  • Clean the tracks and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if needed.
  • Ensure the door is correctly seated in its tracks.
