Setup

    • Remove the clean water tank from the unit.
    • Fill the tank with warm tap water (not boiling) up to the indicated fill line.
    • Add the recommended amount of BISSELL cleaning formula (e.g., BISSELL OXY Spot & Stain Formula) as per the instructions on the formula bottle. Do not overfill.
    • Securely replace the tank on the unit.
  3. Attach the Cleaning Tool: Connect the desired cleaning tool (e.g., 3" Tough Stain Tool, Multi-Surface Tool) to the end of the hose until it clicks into place.
  4. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

  • Vacuum the area to be cleaned to remove loose dirt and debris.
  • Test a small, inconspicuous area of the surface for colorfastness before proceeding.

Spot and Stain Cleaning:

  1. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the unit.
  2. Select Mode: Rotate the mode dial to select the desired cleaning mode (e.g., Steam Only, Wash, or SteamWash).
  3. Apply Solution: Hold the cleaning tool about an inch above the stained area. Press the spray trigger to dispense cleaning solution and steam onto the stain.
  4. Scrub the Stain: Gently scrub the stained area with the brush on the cleaning tool. For tough stains, allow the solution to soak for a few minutes.
  5. Extract Dirty Water: Release the spray trigger and press the cleaning tool firmly against the surface, pulling it slowly towards you to suction up the dirty water. Repeat until no more dirty water is being extracted.
  6. Rinse (Optional): For best results, you may rinse the area by spraying clean water (without formula) and extracting it.
  7. Dry: Allow the cleaned area to dry completely. Upholstery may dry in approximately 30 minutes in Steam Only Mode.
