2. Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of injury or damage, read these safety instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

  • Do not operate the robot vacuum near open flames or heat sources.
  • Ensure the charging adapter and cable are not damaged before use.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Do not immerse the robot vacuum or its charging base in water or other liquids.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Only use the original charging adapter provided with the device.
  • Do not use the robot vacuum to pick up large objects, sharp objects, or liquids.
  • Before cleaning or maintenance, ensure the device is turned off and unplugged.

  • Power Button: Located on the top of the unit, used to turn the robot on/off and start/pause cleaning.

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

  1. Connect the charging adapter to the charging cable.
  2. Plug the charging cable into the charging port on the side of the robot vacuum.
  3. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  4. Allow the robot to charge fully before first use. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours. The indicator light will change to indicate a full charge.

5.2 Preparing the Cleaning Area

  • Remove any large obstacles, loose cables, or small items from the floor that could entangle the robot.
  • For optimal performance, ensure the cleaning area is free of excessive clutter.
  • If using the dry mop function, ensure the mop wipe is properly attached to the underside of the robot.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

  1. Ensure the robot is fully charged.
  2. Place the robot on the floor in the area you wish to clean.
  3. Press the power button on the top of the robot. The robot will emit a sound and the indicator light will illuminate, indicating it has started cleaning.
  4. The robot will clean in a random path pattern, covering the area.

6.2 Pausing/Resuming Cleaning

To pause the cleaning cycle, press the power button once. To resume, press the power button again.

6.3 Ending a Cleaning Cycle

To stop the cleaning cycle, press and hold the power button until the robot turns off. The robot will automatically return to its charging base if it has one (Note: This model charges via cable, not a base) or stop when its battery is low.

6.4 Battery Life

The Supersonic SC-820SV provides up to 120 minutes (2 hours) of cleaning time on a single charge, depending on floor type and usage.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

7.1 Emptying the Dust Bin

It is recommended to empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle, especially if cleaning large areas or areas with significant debris.

  1. Turn off the robot vacuum.
  2. Locate the dust bin release mechanism (usually a latch or button).
  3. Remove the dust bin from the robot.
  4. Open the dust bin and discard collected debris into a trash receptacle.
  5. Close the dust bin and reinsert it into the robot until it clicks into place.

7.2 Cleaning the Mop Wipe

The mop wipes are machine washable and reusable.

  1. Remove the mop wipe from the robot's underside.
  2. Wash the mop wipe with water and mild detergent.
  3. Allow the mop wipe to air dry completely before reattaching it to the robot.

7.3 Cleaning the Side Brushes

Periodically check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Use a small brush or your fingers to remove any obstructions.

7.4 Cleaning Sensors

Wipe the drop-sensing sensors on the underside of the robot with a clean, dry cloth to ensure they remain free of dust and debris.
