  • Built-in Microphone: Chat online with friends or issue voice commands. The microphone can be muted using the dedicated mute button below the PS button.
  • 3.5mm Headset Jack: Connect a compatible headset directly to the controller for private audio and communication.
  • Create Button: Located on the left side of the touchpad, this button allows you to capture and broadcast your epic gaming moments.
  • Touchpad: The integrated touchpad offers intuitive touch and motion controls in supported games.
  • Built-in Speaker: Hear higher-fidelity sound effects directly from the controller in supported games.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the controller to extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery at least once every six months.
  • Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.

Troubleshooting

Controller Not Responding/Connecting

  • Check Battery: Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB Type-C cable.
  • Reset Controller: Locate the small reset button on the back of the controller (inside a small hole near the L2 button). Use a small, pointed object (like a straightened paperclip) to press and hold the button for 5 seconds. Then, try connecting again.
  • Re-pair Bluetooth: If connecting wirelessly, delete the controller from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair it again (refer to 'Connecting to Other Devices' section).
  • Try a Different USB Cable/Port: If using a wired connection, test with another USB Type-C cable or a different USB port on your device/console.

Input Issues (e.g., Stick Drift, Button Unresponsiveness)

  • Clean Around Buttons/Sticks: Dust or debris can sometimes interfere with button presses or stick movement. Gently clean around the affected areas.
  • Software Update: Ensure your PS5 console's system software and the controller's firmware are up to date. Connect the controller to the PS5 and check for updates in the system settings.
  • Test on Another Device: If possible, test the controller on another compatible device to determine if the issue is with the controller or the original device/console.
