2. Safety Information

To prevent injury to the user or others and property damage, the following instructions must be followed. Incorrect operation due to ignoring instructions may cause harm or damage.

• Always use a grounded power outlet with the correct voltage (110V).
• Do not operate the unit with a damaged power cord or plug.
• Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents.
• Keep the unit at least 8 inches (20 cm) away from walls or furniture.
• Do not use the dehumidifier in areas where flammable gases or combustible materials are present.
• Always unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
• Do not allow children to operate or play with the dehumidifier. The child lock feature should be utilized.
• Ensure the water tank is correctly seated to prevent leaks.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your dehumidifier:

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport.
2. Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around all sides for proper airflow. The unit is ideal for basements, laundry rooms, bathrooms, garages, offices, stockrooms, and cellars.
3. Power Connection: Plug the 3-prong grounded power cord into a suitable 110V electrical outlet.
4. Drainage Option:
   • Manual Drainage: If using the water tank, ensure it is empty and properly inserted into the unit. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full.
   • Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation without emptying the tank, connect the included drain hose to the drain hose outlet on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.

5. Operating Instructions

The VEAGASO VG600 features an intelligent touch control panel for easy operation.

• POWER Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
• MODE Button: Press to cycle through the dehumidification modes:
  • DEHU Mode: (Dehumidifier Mode) Perfect for maintaining the ideal humidity level in your living room. The unit will operate until the set humidity level is reached.
  • DRY Mode: Quickly takes away clothing moisture, suitable for drying clothes.
  • CONT Mode: (Continuous Mode) Provides continuous dehumidification, ideal for very damp places or when using continuous drainage.
• HUMI Button: Use the up and down arrows to set your desired humidity level (30%RH to 80%RH).
• SPEED Button: Adjusts the fan speed between Low and High wind cycles.
• TIMER Button: Press to set the 24-hour timer for automatic turn on/off. Use the HUMI buttons to adjust the time.
• LOCK (3S) Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the child lock, preventing accidental changes to settings.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Water Tank

• When the water tank is full, the "Full Tank" indicator will light up, and the unit will automatically switch off.
• Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
• Empty the collected water.
• Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

6.2 Air Filter

The washable air filter should be cleaned regularly (every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and air quality) to maintain efficiency.

• Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
• Remove the air filter from its slot (refer to Figure 4 for location).
• Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
• Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

6.3 Auto Defrost

The unit is equipped with an auto defrost function. If frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the compressor will automatically cycle off, and the fan will continue to run until the frost melts. This is a normal operation and ensures efficient performance in low-temperature environments.
