Tenpmas H11 Wireless Solar TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System User Manual

Model: H11 | Brand: Tenpmas

1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Tenpmas H11 Wireless Solar Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). This system is designed to monitor your vehicle's tire pressure and temperature in real-time, enhancing driving safety by alerting you to abnormal tire conditions.

2. Product Features

  • Detachable Mounting Bracket: Allows flexible placement on the windshield and easy removal for charging or settings adjustment.
  • Customizable Alarm Values: Supports separate high and low pressure alarm settings for front and rear wheels. Units can be set to PSI or BAR for pressure, and ℉ or ℃ for temperature. Pressure range: 3-87 PSI (0.2-6.0 BAR).
  • 2/4 Wheel Mode: Compatible with both 2-wheel trailers and standard 4-wheel vehicles. Prevents alarms when only 2 sensors are installed in 2-wheel mode.
  • Adjustable Screen Brightness: Three levels of manual brightness adjustment for optimal visibility in various lighting conditions (daytime, dim, night).
  • 3.5-inch Large Screen: Provides clear, easy-to-read digits for tire data.
  • Automatic Sleep/Vibration Monitoring: The monitor enters sleep mode after 5 minutes of no vibration to conserve power and automatically reactivates upon detecting vibration.
  • Dual Charging Options: Equipped with a high-efficiency solar panel for charging and a micro USB port for alternative charging (USB-A to Type-C cable included).
  • Pre-paired Sensors: Sensors are pre-paired with the monitor for immediate use upon receipt.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the monitor for at least 2 hours using the provided USB-A to Type-C charging cable. The monitor can also be charged via its solar panel when exposed to sunlight.

4.2 Sensor Installation

The external sensors are designed for easy installation on your tire valve stems. They are pre-paired with the monitor.

  1. Unscrew the original valve cap from each tire.
  2. Screw on the anti-theft nut onto the valve stem.
  3. Screw the corresponding sensor (marked FL, FR, RL, RR for Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right) onto the valve stem until it is tight.
  4. Tighten the anti-theft nut against the sensor using the provided wrench.

Important Note:

  • Avoid using these sensors on aluminum valve stems, as brass sensors can corrode and fuse to aluminum, making removal difficult.
  • Ensure sensors are tightened properly to prevent air leakage.

4.3 Monitor Placement

The monitor features a detachable mounting bracket for flexible placement on your vehicle's windshield or dashboard.

  1. Attach the bracket to the monitor.
  2. Place the monitor with its bracket on your windshield or dashboard in a position that does not obstruct your view and allows for easy reading of the display. The angle can be adjusted.
  3. The monitor can be easily detached from the bracket for charging or adjusting settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the left button on the monitor.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the left button again.

The monitor also features an automatic sleep/vibration monitoring function. If no vibration is detected for 5 minutes, the monitor will enter sleep mode. It will automatically turn on when vibration is detected (e.g., when you open the car door or start driving). Do not manually turn off the display if you wish to use this automatic feature.

5.2 Brightness Adjustment

The monitor offers three levels of screen brightness. Use the appropriate button (refer to the monitor's physical buttons) to cycle through high, medium, and eye protection (dim) brightness settings to suit ambient light conditions.

5.3 2/4 Wheel Mode Switching

The H11 TPMS supports both 2-wheel mode (for small 2-wheel trailers) and 4-wheel mode (for standard 4-wheel vehicles).

  • To switch modes, access the settings menu (consult your paper manual for specific button presses).
  • In 2-wheel mode, the system will not trigger alarms if only two sensors are installed.
  • The maximum working distance for sensors on a trailer from the monitor is 19.7 feet.

5.4 Setting Alarm Values

The system allows for individual high and low pressure alarm value settings for front and rear wheels.

  1. Enter the settings menu (consult your paper manual for button sequence).
  2. Navigate to the pressure alarm settings.
  3. Set desired high and low pressure values for front wheels (e.g., 3PH for high, 4PL for low).
  4. Set desired high and low pressure values for rear wheels (e.g., 5PH for high, 6PL for low).
  5. Select your preferred pressure unit (PSI or BAR) and temperature unit (℉ or ℃).

5.5 Alarm Types

The system provides audible and visual alarms for various abnormal tire conditions:

  • Fast Leak Alarm
  • Delayed Leak Alarm
  • High Pressure Alarm
  • High Temperature Alarm
  • Loss of Sensor Alarm
  • Sensor Low Battery Alarm

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Charging: Ensure the monitor receives adequate sunlight for solar charging or connect it via USB when necessary, especially during prolonged periods of low light.
  • Sensor Battery: The sensors have internal batteries. The monitor will display a "Sensor Low Battery Alarm" when a sensor's battery is low. Contact support for replacement sensors if needed.
  • Storage: If storing the system for an extended period, ensure the monitor is fully charged and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Monitor does not turn on.Low battery.Charge the monitor via USB for at least 2 hours or place it in direct sunlight.
Sensor not displaying data or showing incorrect readings.Sensor not properly installed, low sensor battery, or sensor malfunction.
  • Ensure the sensor is tightly screwed onto the valve stem and the anti-theft nut is secured.
  • Check for a "Sensor Low Battery Alarm" on the monitor.
  • If issues persist, contact customer support for assistance or replacement.
Monitor beeps continuously without clear reason.Alarm triggered (e.g., pressure/temperature outside set limits), or system error.
  • Check the monitor display for specific alarm indicators (e.g., low pressure, high temperature).
  • Verify tire pressures with a reliable gauge.
  • If no clear alarm is displayed, try resetting the monitor (refer to paper manual).
  • Contact customer support if the issue persists.
Corrosion between sensor and valve stem.Brass sensor on aluminum valve stem.Avoid using brass sensors on aluminum valve stems. If corrosion occurs, carefully remove the sensor and consider replacing the valve stem.
