Operating Instructions

1. Calibration

For accurate readings, regular calibration is essential. Refer to the specific calibration instructions provided with your calibration solutions. Generally, this involves:

  1. Prepare standard calibration solutions (e.g., pH 4.00, pH 6.86, pH 9.18).
  2. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and blot dry.
  3. Immerse the electrode into the first calibration solution.
  4. Press the CAL/TEMP button and follow the on-screen prompts or app instructions to calibrate.
  5. Repeat for other calibration points as necessary.

Important: Ensure the electrode is fully submerged in the solution during calibration and measurement. Inaccurate calibration can lead to incorrect readings.

2. Taking Measurements

To measure water parameters:

  1. Ensure the meter is clean and calibrated.
  2. Gently immerse the electrode into the water sample, ensuring the sensor is fully submerged.
  3. Allow 2-5 seconds for the reading to stabilize on the digital display or in the connected app.
  4. Press the MODE button to cycle through different measurement parameters (pH, TDS, EC, SALT, TEMP, S.G, ORP).
  5. Record the readings as needed.

Maintenance

1. Electrode Cleaning

After each use, rinse the electrode thoroughly with distilled or deionized water to prevent contamination and buildup. Do not wipe the electrode as this can damage the sensitive glass bulb. Gently blot dry with a lint-free tissue.

2. Storage

Store the meter with the electrode cap securely in place. If the electrode cap contains a sponge, keep it moist with a few drops of storage solution or pH 4.00 buffer solution. Never store the electrode dry or in distilled water, as this can shorten its lifespan.

3. Battery Replacement

When the display indicates low battery, replace the button cell battery according to the instructions in the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity.
