Setup
This remote control requires no programming or setup. Simply install the batteries, and it will be ready for use with compatible JVC TV models.
Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery cover downwards or outwards to open it.
- Insert two (2) AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery cover by sliding it back into position until it clicks securely.
Note: Batteries are not included with the remote control. Always use new alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
Operating Instructions
Point the remote control directly at your JVC television's infrared sensor. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV.
- Power Button (●): Press to turn the TV on or off.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Use to directly select channels.
- CH+ / CH- (Channel Up/Down): Press to change channels sequentially.

- Mute: Press to mute or unmute the TV audio.

- P.MODE (Picture Mode): Cycle through picture presets.

- MTS: Multi-channel Television Sound (SAP/Stereo).
- CC (Closed Caption): Turn closed captions on or off.
- AUTO: Auto-adjust picture settings (functionality may vary by TV model).
- FAV / FAV+: Access or add to favorite channels.
- ZOOM: Adjust screen zoom level.
- Media Playback Controls (Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Previous, Next): Control media playback if your TV supports it via USB or other inputs.

Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace old batteries with new AAA alkaline batteries.

- Ensure you are within the effective range of the TV's sensor.
- Some buttons do not work:
- Verify that your JVC TV model is listed as compatible. While this remote is designed for broad compatibility, some specific TV models or functions might not be fully supported.
- Clean the remote's infrared emitter (the small LED at the front) and the TV's sensor with a soft, dry cloth.
