Helmet Structure

The ADF unit contains the lens display, sensitivity control, delay control, and a replaceable CR2032 lithium battery.
Setup
Headgear Adjustment
The headgear is designed for comfort and stability. Adjust the top strap and angle knob to fit your head securely. Use the fixed knob to adjust tightness for a snug fit.
Battery Installation/Check
The helmet comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. Ensure it is properly seated. The solar panel charges the internal system, extending battery life. A low battery indicator will signal when replacement is needed.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
The helmet is always ready for use due to its solar power and automatic activation. There is no manual on/off switch. It will automatically activate when exposed to light and darken upon arc strike.
Shade Adjustment
Use the external dark shade knob to select the appropriate shade level (DIN 9-13) for your welding application. Refer to welding standards for recommended shade levels based on amperage and material.
Sensitivity Control
Adjust the internal sensitivity knob to control how easily the filter reacts to the welding arc. Higher sensitivity is suitable for low amperage TIG welding, while lower sensitivity helps prevent false triggering from ambient light.
Delay Control
Adjust the internal delay knob to set the time the filter remains dark after the welding arc stops. A longer delay is recommended for high amperage welding to protect against afterglow and eye fatigue.
Grinding Mode
When performing grinding operations, ensure the helmet is set to grinding mode (light state) to prevent the filter from darkening. This is typically achieved by rotating the external knob to the 'Grind' position or by setting the shade to the lightest possible setting (DIN 4).
Maintenance
Cleaning the Helmet
- Clean the helmet shell with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh abrasives or solvents that could damage the material.
- Clean the outer and inner protective lenses with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or rough materials that could scratch the lenses.
Battery Replacement
The helmet uses a replaceable CR2032 lithium battery. If the low battery indicator appears or the filter fails to darken consistently, replace the battery. To replace, locate the battery compartment on the ADF unit, open it, and insert a new CR2032 battery with the correct polarity (+ side up).
Storage
Store the helmet in a dry, clean place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Prolonged exposure to heat or cold can affect the performance and lifespan of the auto-darkening filter.
