4. Installation
Installation of this tankless water heater requires professional expertise in both plumbing and electrical systems. Ensure all local, state, and national codes are strictly followed.
4.1 Pre-Installation Checklist:
- Verify electrical supply meets 240V, 9kW, 37.5 Amp max draw requirements.
- Confirm availability of a 1 x Double-POLE 60AMP breaker and 8AWG wire.
- Ensure water supply lines are accessible and compatible with 3/4 NPT connections.
- Select a suitable wall-mounting location, considering product dimensions (16.1" H x 9.8" W x 1.6" D) and proximity to water and electrical connections.
- Unpack all components and verify against the included parts list (Instruction Manual, 2x Washer with Filter, 2x Mounting Bracket, 4x Wall Anchor and Screws).
4.2 Mounting the Unit:
Use the provided mounting brackets, wall anchors, and screws to securely attach the unit to a sturdy wall surface. Refer to the installation diagram for proper placement of mounting points.

5. Operation
Operating the LALAHOO Tankless Water Heater is straightforward thanks to its intuitive LED display and touch controls.
5.1 Initial Startup:
- Ensure the unit is properly installed and all water and electrical connections are secure.
- Open a hot water faucet in your home to allow water to flow through the unit and purge any air from the system.
- Once water is flowing steadily from the faucet, turn on the electrical power to the unit at the circuit breaker.
- Press the Power On/Off button on the unit's touch panel.
5.2 Setting Temperature:
Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the control panel to adjust the desired water temperature. The LED display will show the current temperature setting. The unit will automatically heat the water to your selected temperature.

5.3 LED Display Indicators:
- Temperature Display: Shows the current output water temperature in °F or °C.
- Water Flow (GPM): Indicates the current water flow rate.
- Power Status: Bar indicators show the heating power level being used.
- Working State: An icon indicates when the unit is actively heating water.
- Over Flow: Indicates excessive water flow.
- Fault Prompt: Error indicators will appear here if any issues are detected. Refer to the Troubleshooting section for details.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your tankless water heater. Always disconnect power to the unit before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inlet Filter Cleaning: Periodically check and clean the inlet water filter to prevent sediment buildup, which can affect flow rate and heating efficiency. Turn off water supply and power before accessing the filter.
- Descaling (if necessary): In areas with hard water, mineral buildup (scale) can occur. If you notice reduced hot water flow or efficiency, descaling may be required. This process typically involves circulating a descaling solution through the unit. Consult a qualified professional for descaling procedures.
- Annual Inspection: It is recommended to have a qualified professional inspect the unit annually to ensure all connections are secure and the unit is operating correctly.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your LALAHOO Tankless Water Heater, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps. For persistent problems, contact customer support or a qualified technician.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No hot water / Unit not turning on | No power, circuit breaker tripped, insufficient water flow. | Check circuit breaker. Ensure adequate water flow (minimum activation flow). Verify power connection. |
| Water not hot enough | Temperature setting too low, high flow rate exceeding capacity, cold inlet water temperature. | Increase temperature setting. Reduce water flow. Refer to the GPM usage chart in Section 4.6. |
| Fluctuating water temperature | Inconsistent water flow, air in the system, mineral buildup. | Ensure stable water pressure. Purge air from the system. Consider descaling if in hard water area. |
| Error code on LED display | Internal fault, sensor issue, specific operational problem. | Note the error code and consult the full product manual or contact customer support for specific code meanings and solutions. |
| Water leakage | Loose connections, damaged seals, internal component failure. | Immediately turn off water supply and power. Check all plumbing connections for tightness. Contact a qualified plumber. |
