Operating the IQ Panel 4
1. Arming and Disarming the System
The IQ Panel 4 offers various arming modes:
- Arm Stay: Arms the perimeter sensors (doors, windows) while allowing movement inside. Ideal for when you are home.
- Arm Away: Arms all sensors, including interior motion detectors. Ideal for when you leave the premises.
- Disarm: Deactivates all armed sensors.
To arm or disarm, tap the desired mode on the home screen and enter your 4-digit user code.

The panel allows you to add, remove, and configure various security and home automation devices (e.g., door/window sensors, motion detectors, smart lights, thermostats).
- To add a new device: Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors (or Z-Wave Devices for automation).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the device.
3. Using the Panel Camera

- Create scenes and rules to automate actions (e.g., "Goodnight" scene to lock doors and turn off lights).
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Panel
To clean the touchscreen and panel surface, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not spray cleaners directly onto the panel.
2. Software Updates
The IQ Panel 4 receives over-the-air (OTA) software updates to improve performance, add features, and enhance security. Ensure your panel is connected to Wi-Fi to receive these updates.
- To check for updates: Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Upgrade Software.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install any available updates.
3. Battery Backup
The IQ Panel 4 includes a built-in battery backup to ensure continued operation during power outages. The battery is designed to last for several hours. If the battery backup is consistently low or not holding a charge, it may need replacement by a qualified technician.
