Setup
1. Installation
Follow the detailed steps in the included installation guide for physical installation. Ensure your door is properly prepared according to the provided templates. Proper door preparation is crucial for optimal lock performance.
- Remove existing deadbolt.
- Install the new deadbolt latch.
- Install the exterior touchscreen keypad.
- Install the interior mounting plate.

2. Battery Installation

Operating Instructions
1. Unlocking the Door
- Via Touchscreen Keypad: Enter your 4- to 8-digit access code on the touchscreen. The lock will retract the deadbolt.
- Via Yale Access App: Use the Yale Access app on your smartphone for remote unlocking.
- Auto-Unlock: If enabled, the lock will automatically unlock when your mobile device enters Bluetooth proximity.
2. Locking the Door
- Manual Locking: From the exterior, press any key on the touchscreen. From the interior, turn the thumbturn.
- Via Yale Access App: Use the Yale Access app on your smartphone for remote locking.
- Auto-Lock: If enabled, the lock will automatically lock after a set period of time or when your mobile device leaves Bluetooth range. The DoorSense sensor ensures the door is closed before auto-locking.
3. Managing Access Codes
Access codes can be created, modified, and deleted through the Yale Access app. Up to 250 unique codes can be managed for guests, family, or tenants.
4. Smart Home Integration
The Yale Assure Lock 2 is compatible with various smart home platforms, including Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, and Google Home. Refer to the Yale Access app and your smart home hub's documentation for integration instructions.
5. DoorSense Functionality
The DoorSense sensor monitors the door's open/closed status. This feature enhances auto-lock/unlock functions and provides notifications regarding door status via the Yale Access app.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
