2. Safety Information
Always adhere to safety precautions when using electrical testing equipment. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, injury, or damage to the device or property.
- Do not exceed the maximum input values specified for each measurement function.
- Ensure the test leads are in good condition, free from cracks or damage.
- Do not use the device if it appears damaged or is not operating correctly.
- Always disconnect power to the circuit before making resistance or continuity measurements.
- Use caution when working with voltages above 30V AC RMS, 42V peak, or 60V DC, as these pose a shock hazard.
- When using the Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) function, remember it is an indicator and not a substitute for direct voltage measurement.
3. Setup
3.1. Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the multimeter from its packaging. Inspect the device and accessories for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not use the device and contact customer support.
3.2. Battery Installation
The device requires two AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Use a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Securely close the battery compartment cover.
3.3. Connecting Test Leads
The multimeter comes with a detachable test lead. The pen tip serves as the positive probe, while the black lead serves as the negative.
- Insert the black test lead into the 'Input COM' jack on the top of the multimeter.
- Ensure the connection is firm before use.

4.4. Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Testing
The NCV function allows for safe detection of AC voltage without direct contact. This is ideal for identifying live wires in outlets, cables, or electrical panels.
- Press the 'NCV/LIVE' button to enter NCV mode. The display will show 'EF'.
- Bring the pen tip close to the object to be tested.
- An audible alarm and flashing LED light indicate the presence of AC voltage. The frequency of the alarm and light increases with stronger voltage signals.

4.5. LIVE Wire Detection
The LIVE function helps distinguish between live and neutral wires in a circuit.
- Press the 'NCV/LIVE' button until 'LIVE' is displayed.
- Insert the pen tip into the terminal or touch the wire.
- A strong alarm and red light indicate a live wire. No alarm or a weaker signal indicates a neutral wire.
