Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.

  5. Collect Slices: Sliced food will fall onto the stainless steel tray.
  6. Safety Features: The illuminated cutting area enhances visibility. The LED Safety Control provides status indications; a red light will flash if the stop is open before the slicer enters standby mode, reminding you to close it for safety.
  7. Standby Mode: If left inactive for five minutes, the slicer will enter standby mode, turning off the scale ring and blade illumination. If the stop is open, a red light will flash as a reminder before standby, and then remain red until the stop is closed.
  8. Finish Slicing: Once finished, turn off the slicer and unplug it from the power outlet.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your slicer and ensure hygienic operation.

  1. Always Unplug: Ensure the slicer is unplugged from the power outlet before any cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Blade Removal: Use the provided blade removal device to safely detach the blade cover and the blade itself. This allows for thorough cleaning.

  4. Cleaning the Main Unit: Wipe the motor unit and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  5. Blade Sharpening: Use the D-1000 knife sharpener as needed to maintain the sharpness of the blade. Follow the sharpener's specific instructions for proper use.
  6. Reassembly: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble them carefully, ensuring the blade is securely reattached using the blade removal device.
