2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.

- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or grinder body in water or other liquid.

5. Setup
- Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
- Placement: Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure there is enough space around the unit for proper ventilation and operation.
- Install Bean Hopper: Place the bean hopper onto the top of the grinder unit. Rotate it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the hopper is securely seated to activate the safety switch.
- Choose Output Method:
- For grinding into the included ground coffee container: Slide the container into the designated slot at the front of the grinder.
- For grinding directly into a portafilter: Select the appropriate portafilter cradle (53mm or 58mm) and slide it into the slot. You may also use the corresponding dosing ring with your portafilter for cleaner operation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the exterior of the grinder with a damp cloth. The bean hopper and ground coffee container can be washed with warm soapy water and thoroughly dried. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet (220 Volts DC).
6. Operating Instructions
- Add Coffee Beans: Open the bean hopper lid and pour fresh, whole coffee beans into the hopper. Do not overfill. Close the lid securely.
- Adjust Grind Size:
Rotate the grind size adjustment dial located below the bean hopper to select your desired grind setting. The grinder offers 51 precise settings, ranging from 1 (finest, for espresso) to 51 (coarsest, for French Press). Refer to the diagram below for recommended settings for common brewing methods.

- Select Grinding Mode and Time/Cups:
Press the SET button to cycle through the three grinding modes: Cup, Time, and Espresso.
- Cup Mode: Use the + and - buttons to select the number of cups (1-12). The grinder will automatically grind the appropriate amount for the selected cups.
- Time Mode: Use the + and - buttons to set the grinding duration in 0.1-second increments (1-60 seconds). This allows for precise control over the amount of coffee ground by weight.
- Espresso Mode: This mode is designed for direct grinding into a portafilter. The time can be adjusted similarly to Time Mode.
Tip: Long press the + or - buttons to quickly adjust the time or cup setting.

- Start Grinding:
- Using Ground Coffee Container: Ensure the container is properly seated. Press the Power button to start grinding. The grinder will stop automatically once the set time/cups are reached.
- Using Portafilter: Place your portafilter (with or without a dosing ring) into the selected cradle. Ensure it is firmly seated. The grinder may have a trigger button behind the cradle that activates when the portafilter is pressed against it, or you may need to press the Power button. The grinder will stop automatically.

- After Grinding: Remove the ground coffee container or portafilter. For best results, use freshly ground coffee immediately.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your grinder. Always unplug the grinder before cleaning.
- Empty and Disassemble: Ensure the bean hopper is empty. Remove the bean hopper by rotating it counter-clockwise and lifting it off. Remove the ground coffee container or portafilter cradle.
- Clean Burr Grinders:
The upper burr can be removed for cleaning. Rotate the upper burr counter-clockwise and lift it out. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any coffee grounds from both the upper and lower burrs. Do not wash burrs with water.

- Clean Grinding Chamber: Use the cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the grinding chamber.
- Use Residual Cleaner: For thorough cleaning of residual grounds, press the "Coffee Grounds Residual Cleaner" button (if available, or use the dedicated brush) to dislodge any remaining powder from the grinding chute.

- Clean Accessories: Wash the bean hopper, ground coffee container, portafilter cradles, and dosing rings with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
- Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Reassemble: Reassemble all parts, ensuring the upper burr is correctly seated and locked, and the bean hopper is securely in place.
