  7. Battery Pack (not shown attached): Provides power to the drill.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Battery

The battery pack is not fully charged at the factory. Before first use, charge the battery completely.

  • Connect the charger to a power outlet.
  • Slide the battery pack into the charger until it clicks into place.
  • The charging indicator light will show the charging status. Refer to your charger's manual for specific indicator meanings.
  • Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power outlet and remove the battery pack.

4.2. Installing/Removing the Battery Pack

  • To Install: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it locks securely.
  • To Remove: Press the battery release button (if present) and slide the battery pack out.

4.3. Installing/Removing Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits

  • Rotate the keyless chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws.
  • Insert the drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck. Ensure it is centered.
  • Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit.
  • To remove, rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to loosen and pull the bit out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Forward/Reverse Rotation

The forward/reverse switch controls the direction of rotation. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (drilling/tightening) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws). When the switch is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental startup.

5.2. Variable Speed Control

The trigger switch provides variable speed control. Pressing the trigger further increases the speed. This allows for precise control during starting and when working with different materials.

5.3. Torque Adjustment

The torque adjustment ring allows you to set the clutch to prevent overtightening screws or damaging materials. Higher numbers indicate higher torque. The drill symbol indicates drill mode, where the clutch does not engage, providing maximum torque for drilling.

  • Select a lower torque setting for smaller screws or softer materials.
  • Select a higher torque setting for larger screws or harder materials.
  • Use the drill mode for drilling holes.

5.4. Speed Selection

The speed selector switch allows you to choose between two speed ranges:

  • Low Speed (1): For high torque applications like driving large screws or drilling large holes.
  • High Speed (2): For faster drilling with smaller bits or when less torque is required.

Always select the appropriate speed range before starting the drill.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.

  • Cleaning: Keep the ventilation openings clean to prevent overheating. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the tool casing. Do not use solvents.
  • Chuck Maintenance: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping of bits.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods.
  • Storage: Store the drill and accessories in a dry, secure location out of reach of children.
