1. Introduction
The ANYOYO M03 is a versatile dual-bay M.2 NVMe docking station designed for both offline cloning and high-speed data transfer. It supports M Key and B+M Key NVMe SSDs, offering a tool-free solution for expanding storage or migrating data with speeds up to 20Gbps via USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device.
2. Package Contents
Please verify that all items are present in your package:
- ANYOYO M03 Dual-Bay NVMe Docking Station
- Power Adapter
- USB-C to USB-C Cable
- User Manual
3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your ANYOYO M03 docking station:
- Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 5V port on the docking station and then plug it into a power outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.
- Insert SSDs: Gently insert your M.2 NVMe SSDs into the designated slots. The slot labeled "SOURCE" is for the drive you want to copy from, and the slot labeled "TARGET" is for the drive you want to copy to. Ensure the SSDs are fully seated.
- Connect to Computer (Optional for Data Transfer): If you intend to use the device as a docking station for data transfer, connect the USB-C to USB-C cable from the docking station's USB-C port to your computer's USB-C port.

4. Operating Modes
4.1 Offline Clone Mode
The offline clone function allows you to duplicate an SSD without connecting to a computer.
Important Prerequisites for Cloning:
- The actual capacity of the TARGET SSD must be equal to or greater than the actual capacity of the SOURCE SSD.
- Both the SOURCE and TARGET SSDs must be initialized.
- Ensure there are no encrypted or inoperable files on the SOURCE SSD.
- Backup Data: All data on the TARGET SSD will be overwritten during the cloning process. Please back up any important data on the TARGET SSD before proceeding.
Steps for Offline Cloning:
- Ensure the docking station is powered on and not connected to a computer via USB.
- Insert the SOURCE SSD into the "SOURCE" slot and the TARGET SSD into the "TARGET" slot.
- Press and hold the "Clone" button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator lights (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) begin to flash.
- Release the button. The cloning process will begin. The indicator lights will show the progress (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
- Once all four indicator lights are solid, the cloning process is complete.

4.2 Data Transfer Mode (Docking Station)
To use the device as an M.2 reader or docking station for data transfer:
- Ensure the docking station is powered on.
- Insert one or two M.2 NVMe SSDs into the "SOURCE" and/or "TARGET" slots.
- Connect the USB-C to USB-C cable from the docking station's USB-C port to your computer's USB-C port.
- Your computer should detect the SSD(s) as external storage devices. You can now access, read, and write data to the SSDs.

Note on Speed: To achieve the maximum 20Gbps transfer speed, ensure your computer's USB port and cable also support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) transmission capacity.
4.3 Compatibility
The ANYOYO M03 supports the following:
- SSD Types: M Key and B+M Key NVMe SSDs. (Note: SATA-based M.2 SSDs are not supported.)
- SSD Sizes: 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 form factors.
- Operating Systems: Compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Heat Dissipation
The ANYOYO M03 features an aluminum alloy shell designed for efficient heat dissipation. It is normal for the device to become warm during operation, especially during high-speed data transfers or cloning, due to the thermal conductivity of the aluminum. This is part of its design to keep the SSDs cool.

5.2 Cleaning
To clean the device, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
5.3 Safe Removal of SSDs
When removing SSDs from the docking station, especially after data transfer, ensure that the drives are safely ejected from your operating system first to prevent data corruption.
6. Troubleshooting
- Cloning Fails:
- Verify that the TARGET SSD's actual capacity is equal to or larger than the SOURCE SSD's actual capacity.
- Ensure both SSDs are properly initialized.
- Check if the SOURCE SSD contains any encrypted or inoperable files that might interfere with cloning.
- Confirm the device is not connected to a computer during offline cloning.
- SSDs Not Detected in Data Transfer Mode:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the docking station and your computer.
- Verify that the SSDs are correctly inserted into their slots.
- Check your computer's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) to see if the drives are recognized but unformatted.
- Slow Transfer Speeds:
- Confirm that your computer's USB port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps). Older USB ports will operate at lower speeds.
- Ensure you are using the provided USB-C cable or another high-quality cable rated for 20Gbps.
- The performance of the SSDs themselves can affect transfer speeds.
- Device Feels Hot:
- As mentioned in Maintenance, it is normal for the aluminum casing to feel warm during operation due to its heat dissipation properties. This indicates it is working effectively to cool the SSDs.
