This manual provides essential information to ensure proper use and care of your watch, helping to maintain its performance and appearance over time.

2. Setup

2.1 Initial Winding (Automatic Movement)

Your I.N.O.X. Chrono watch features an automatic movement. Before wearing for the first time or after a period of inactivity, manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in the normal operating position (position 0, pushed in). This will build up a power reserve. The watch will then continue to wind itself through the motion of your wrist while worn.

2.2 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
  3. Push the crown back into position 0 to restart the movement.

2.3 Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise to advance the date until the correct date is displayed. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the date change mechanism.
  3. Push the crown back into position 0.

2.4 Adjusting the Rubber Strap

The rubber strap is designed for tool-free adjustment. To adjust the length, locate the quick-release pins on the underside of the strap where it connects to the buckle. Press the lever on the pin to release it, adjust the strap to the desired length, and re-secure the pin. Ensure the strap is comfortably snug but not too tight to allow for proper blood circulation.

3. Operating the Chronograph

The I.N.O.X. Chrono features a chronograph function for measuring elapsed time. The pushers on the side of the case control these functions.

3.1 Starting and Stopping the Chronograph

  1. Press the upper pusher (A) to start the chronograph. The central chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  2. Press the upper pusher (A) again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands.

3.2 Resetting the Chronograph

After stopping the chronograph, press the lower pusher (B) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.

3.3 Water Resistance

This watch has a water resistance rating of 200 meters (20 ATM). This makes it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and recreational diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in and secured before any water exposure. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. For the rubber strap, mild soap and water can be used. Ensure the watch is completely dry before wearing. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the case, crystal, or strap.

4.2 Service

For optimal performance, it is recommended to have your watch serviced by an authorized Victorinox service center every 3-5 years. This includes checking the movement, seals, and overall condition of the watch.

4.3 Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure it is fully wound or placed in a watch winder to maintain the movement's lubrication.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Not Running

If your automatic watch stops running, it may simply need to be wound. Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. If the issue persists, contact an authorized service center.

5.2 Time Inaccuracy

Minor variations in timekeeping are normal for mechanical watches. However, if your watch is consistently gaining or losing a significant amount of time, it may require adjustment or servicing. Avoid exposing the watch to strong magnetic fields, as this can affect accuracy.

5.3 Date Not Changing

Ensure the time is set correctly, especially past midnight, for the date to advance. If the date is stuck or not changing at the correct time, try manually advancing it as per section 2.3. If the problem continues, professional servicing may be needed.
