Dehydration Process
The IAGREEA Food Dehydrator utilizes a 360-degree hot air circulation system with a bottom-base mounted fan, ensuring even heat distribution and efficient drying across all 8 trays. The unit operates with 400W power, with the fan system specifically designed to provide 350W of consistent airflow for optimal drying.
- Prepare your food items according to the guidelines in Section 6. Ensure food is cut into uniform pieces for even drying.
- Arrange food in a single layer on the drying trays, ensuring not to overlap pieces. This allows for proper air circulation.
- Stack the filled trays onto the dehydrator base and place the top cover.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

- Press the SET button to select either temperature or time. Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust to your desired settings. Refer to Section 6 for recommended settings.
- Once settings are confirmed, the dehydrator will begin operation. The display will show the remaining time.
- Monitor the drying process periodically. Drying times can vary based on food type, thickness, moisture content, and ambient humidity.
- When dehydration is complete, press the Power Button to turn off the unit and unplug it from the outlet.
- Allow the food and trays to cool completely before handling and storing.

6. Dehydration Guidelines
The following table provides general temperature and time recommendations for various food types. These are starting points; actual drying times may vary.

Figure 6.1: An exploded view illustrating the 8-tier stackable design of the dehydrator, alongside recommended temperature and time settings for various food categories.
| Food Type | Recommended Temperature | Recommended Time |
|---|---|---|
| Fruit | 130-140°F (55-60°C) | 8-12 hours |
| Vegetables | 130-140°F (55-60°C) | 8-12 hours |
| Meat (Jerky) | 140-158°F (60-70°C) | 8-12 hours |
| Herbs | 95-104°F (35-40°C) | 8-12 hours |
| Yogurt | 176-794°F (80-90°C) | 8-12 hours |
Note: The temperature range for Yogurt (176-794°F) seems unusually high. Please refer to specific yogurt dehydration recipes for accurate temperature guidance, typically much lower (around 100-115°F or 38-46°C) for culturing or drying. The provided range might be a misprint or refer to a different process.
Making Beef Jerky
For making perfect beef jerky, the dehydrator consistently dries food quickly and evenly with 350 watts of power and a maximum temperature of 160°F (71°C), which is safe for making jerky and cooking poultry.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your dehydrator, please refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Dehydrator does not turn on. | Not plugged in; Power outlet malfunction; Unit malfunction. | Ensure power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Test outlet with another appliance. If still not working, contact customer support. |
| Food not drying evenly. | Food pieces are too thick or uneven; Trays overloaded; Poor air circulation. | Cut food into uniform thickness. Do not overload trays; ensure single layer. Rotate trays periodically for more even drying. |
| Drying takes too long. | Temperature set too low; High moisture content in food; High ambient humidity. | Increase temperature setting. Pre-treat food if necessary (e.g., blanching). Ensure dehydrator is in a dry environment. |
| Dehydrator is noisy. | Fan obstruction; Unit not on a stable surface. | Ensure nothing is obstructing the fan. Place the dehydrator on a flat, stable surface. The unit is designed to operate quietly (below 48dB). |
