Brand: VINGLI | Model: VL-porchswing-45

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the VINGLI Wooden Swing Frame. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your swing frame. Please read these instructions carefully before assembly and retain them for future reference.

This swing frame features a robust A-frame design with an extra bottom board for enhanced stability, supporting up to 660 LBS. It is constructed from high-quality pine wood with a weather-resistant lacquered finish, making it suitable for various outdoor conditions. Protective caps are included for screw ends to ensure user safety.

2. Safety Information

  • Maximum Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 660 LBS (approximately 300 kg). Overloading can cause structural failure and injury.
  • Assembly: Assembly requires at least two adults. Ensure all parts are correctly aligned and securely fastened before use.
  • Placement: Place the swing frame on a level, stable surface. Avoid placing it near obstacles, fences, or other structures.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect all components, including wood, hardware, and connections, for wear, damage, or loose fasteners. Tighten any loose bolts and replace damaged parts immediately.
  • Children: Supervise children at all times when they are near or using the swing frame.
  • Weather Conditions: While weather-resistant, extreme weather conditions (e.g., strong winds, heavy snow) may require additional precautions or temporary storage.
  • Modifications: Do not modify the swing frame in any way. Unauthorized modifications can compromise safety and void the warranty.

4. Assembly Instructions

Please follow these steps carefully. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly.

Step 1: Prepare the Components

Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, flat surface. Identify each part according to the package contents list. Ensure you have all necessary hardware (bolts, washers, nuts, protective caps).

Step 2: Assemble the A-Frames

Attach the side A-frame legs (Parts B and C) together using the appropriate bolts, washers, and nuts. Ensure the A-frame structure is stable. The legs have a thickness of 2.4 inches for enhanced stability.

Step 3: Connect the Top Beam

Carefully lift the assembled A-frames and connect them with the top beam (Part A). Secure the top beam to both A-frames using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are tight.

Step 4: Install the Bottom Stability Bar

Attach the bottom stability bar (Part D) between the two A-frames. This extra board significantly enhances the overall stability of the swing frame. Secure it firmly with the remaining hardware.

Step 5: Attach Swing Hooks and Protective Caps

Install the swing hooks (Part E) onto the designated points on the top beam. After all bolts are tightened, place the protective caps over any exposed sharp screw ends to prevent injury.

Step 6: Final Check

Before attaching a swing or using the frame, double-check all bolts and connections to ensure they are secure. Gently shake the frame to confirm its stability. The frame is designed to accommodate most 4-foot and 5-foot swings.

5. Usage Guidelines

  • Weight Limit: The VINGLI Wooden Swing Frame is designed to safely support a maximum weight of 660 LBS (300 kg). Do not exceed this limit.
  • Swing Compatibility: This frame is suitable for most standard 4-foot and 5-foot porch swings. Ensure your swing's hanging mechanism is compatible with the provided hooks.
  • Outdoor Use: The frame is constructed with high-quality pine wood and a weather-resistant finish, making it suitable for outdoor use in gardens, patios, and porches.
  • Even Distribution: When multiple users are on a swing attached to the frame, ensure weight is distributed evenly to maintain balance and stability.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life and ensure the safety of your VINGLI Wooden Swing Frame.

  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the frame periodically with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Hardware Check: Annually, or more frequently if used often, check all bolts, nuts, and connections. Tighten any that have become loose.
  • Wood Protection: The frame features a well-coated surface for durability and weather resistance. If the coating shows signs of wear over time, consider reapplying a suitable outdoor wood sealant or paint to maintain protection against elements.
  • Storage: During prolonged periods of non-use or in anticipation of severe weather, consider covering the swing frame or storing it in a sheltered area to further protect the wood.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VINGLI Wooden Swing Frame, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Frame Wobbles:
    • Ensure the frame is placed on a completely level surface.
    • Check all bolts and connections for tightness. Retighten as necessary.
    • Verify that the bottom stability bar is securely installed.
  • Squeaking Noises:
    • If the swing itself squeaks, apply a small amount of lubricant to the swing's hanging chains or pivot points (not the frame's wood).
    • Ensure all frame connections are tight, as loose parts can cause friction and noise.
  • Wood Discoloration/Wear:
    • This is normal over extended outdoor exposure. Refer to the Maintenance section for tips on reapplying wood sealant or paint.

If problems persist, contact VINGLI customer support for further assistance.
