1. Introduction

Welcome to the RANDRIDE YG90 Electric Bike user manual. This guide provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new electric bicycle. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations. Be aware of your surroundings and ride defensively.

2.1 Battery Safety Warnings

• Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Do not place the battery near water, salt, or corrosive substances.
• Do not disassemble or modify the battery.
• Always use the original charger provided with the bike.
• Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials.
• If the battery is not used for a long time, charge it every 1-3 months.

3. Package Contents

Upon unboxing, please verify that all components are present:

4. Setup and Initial Assembly

Your RANDRIDE YG90 bike comes partially assembled. Follow these general steps for final assembly. If you are unsure, seek professional assistance.

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring it is centered and the bolts are tightened securely.
3. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, ensuring the disc brake rotor is correctly aligned with the caliper. Tighten the quick release or axle nuts.
4. Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal has a reverse thread. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and tighten them firmly.
5. Seat Post Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height for comfortable pedaling, ensuring the minimum insertion mark is not visible. Secure the quick release or bolt.
6. Initial Battery Charge: Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the battery port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and functions of your RANDRIDE YG90 electric bike.

5.1 Intelligent Color LCD Instrument

The intelligent LCD screen provides riding data, power settings, and an integrated gear switch. It is waterproof and dustproof with IP54 certification.

5.2 Powering On/Off

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. To power off, press and hold the same button until the display turns off.

5.3 Pedal Assist System (PAS)

The YG90 features a pedal-assist system. As you pedal, the motor provides assistance, making riding easier. You can adjust the level of assistance using the controls on the LCD instrument. Higher levels provide more motor power.

5.4 Gear Shifting (21 Speed Shimano)

Your bike is equipped with a 21-speed Shimano gear system. Use the shifters on the handlebar to change gears according to terrain and desired speed. Shift to a lower gear for climbing hills and a higher gear for flat terrain or downhill riding.

5.5 Hydraulic Disc Brakes

The YG90 is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both brake levers simultaneously for effective and controlled braking. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.

6. Battery Management

The 48V 17Ah lithium battery is integrated into the frame, offering waterproof and dustproof protection. Proper battery care extends its lifespan and ensures consistent performance.

6.1 Charging the Battery

• Always use the provided RANDRIDE charger.
• Ensure the charging port is clean and dry before connecting the charger.
• Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
• Do not leave the battery charging unattended for extended periods once fully charged.

6.2 Battery Range

The battery offers a range of 45-55 km in all-electric mode and 70-90 km in electric-assist mode, depending on terrain, rider weight, and assist level used.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.

• Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
• Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride. Maintain the recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) indicated on the tire sidewall for optimal performance and safety. The YG90 features all-terrain tires.
• Brakes: Periodically inspect brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers have proper tension. If braking performance degrades, have them inspected by a professional.
• Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent wear.
• Suspension: The YG90 is equipped with dual suspension (front fork and rear-mounted). Regularly check the suspension for proper function and adjust as needed for your riding style and terrain.
