4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Power Connection
The MCT-520DPL LED Pro supports both 100V and 200V power inputs. Ensure your power supply matches the machine's requirements and that the circuit breaker can handle the rated input current.
- Connect the power cord to a suitable grounded outlet.
- Verify the input voltage setting on the machine, if applicable, or ensure it auto-detects correctly.
4.2 Gas Connection (for MIG/TIG/CUT)
For MIG, TIG, and CUT functions, a gas supply is required. Pure argon gas is necessary for COLD welding mode on stainless steel.
- Connect the gas hose from the machine to your gas cylinder regulator.
- Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free.
- Set the appropriate gas flow rate for your welding process.
4.3 Torch and Ground Clamp Connection
- Connect the appropriate welding torch (MIG, TIG, or MMA holder) to the corresponding terminals on the front panel.
- Connect the ground clamp cable to the designated ground terminal.
- Attach the ground clamp securely to the workpiece, ensuring good electrical contact.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Function Selection
The MCT-520DPL LED Pro offers multiple welding modes:
- CUT: For plasma cutting.
- MIG (CO2 / MIX / FLUX): For Gas Metal Arc Welding with various shielding gases or flux-cored wire.
- TIG (HF): For Gas Tungsten Arc Welding with High-Frequency ignition.
- COLD: Specialized mode for stainless steel welding, producing a silver-white fish scale bead. Requires pure argon gas.
- PULSE: For pulsed welding operations, offering better control and reduced heat input.
- MMA (Arc Welding): For Manual Metal Arc welding (Stick welding).
Select the desired function using the controls on the LED screen.
5.2 Parameter Adjustment
Use the full-digital LED screen to adjust welding parameters such as current, voltage, wire feed speed (for MIG), gas flow time, and pulse settings (if applicable). Refer to the specific welding process section for recommended settings for different materials and thicknesses.

Figure 5.1: Illustration of the low-frequency cutting performance of the MCT-520DPL LED Pro. It shows clean cut capabilities of 12mm (110V) and 20mm (220V), and maximum cut capabilities of 15mm (110V) and 25mm (220V).
5.3 Welding Process Overview
MIG Welding: Load the appropriate welding wire. Set voltage and wire feed speed. Ensure gas flow is active. Press the torch trigger to initiate the arc and feed wire.
TIG Welding: Install a tungsten electrode. Connect the gas. Use the HF ignition to start the arc without touching the workpiece. Feed filler rod manually if needed.
CUT (Plasma Cutting): Install the cutting torch consumables. Ensure air/gas supply is connected. Position the torch nozzle close to the material and activate the trigger to cut.
MMA Welding: Insert the electrode into the electrode holder. Strike the electrode against the workpiece to initiate the arc.
COLD Welding: Specifically designed for thin stainless steel. Use pure argon gas. This mode minimizes heat input to prevent distortion and discoloration, resulting in a clean, silver-white bead.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ANDELI welder.
- Daily: Clean the welding torch nozzle and contact tip. Check all cables for damage.
- Weekly: Inspect the ground clamp for good contact. Clean the machine's exterior and ventilation openings to prevent dust buildup.
- Monthly: Check gas lines for leaks. Inspect internal components for dust accumulation (only by qualified personnel after disconnecting power).
- Consumables: Replace worn-out nozzles, contact tips, electrodes, and cutting consumables as needed.
Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cord disconnected, circuit breaker tripped, machine switch off. | Check power connections, reset breaker, turn on machine switch. |
| No arc | Poor ground connection, wrong settings, worn consumables, faulty torch. | Ensure good ground, verify settings, replace consumables, check torch connections. |
| Poor weld quality | Incorrect parameters, improper technique, contaminated material, insufficient gas flow. | Adjust settings, improve technique, clean workpiece, check gas supply. |
| Overheating protection activated | Exceeded duty cycle, poor ventilation. | Allow machine to cool down, ensure proper ventilation, reduce continuous operation. |
If problems persist, contact ANDELI customer service for assistance.
