2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions when using the welding table:

  • Maximum Load Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 150 kg (330 lbs). Overloading can cause instability and damage.
  • Stable Surface: Always place the welding table on a flat, stable, and level surface to prevent tipping.
  • Secure Workpiece: Ensure your workpiece is securely clamped or positioned on the tabletop before beginning any work.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate PPE, including welding gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing, when performing welding or brazing tasks.
  • Adjustments: Make sure all locking mechanisms for height and tilt adjustments are fully engaged and secure before applying load or beginning work.
  • Sharp Edges: Be aware of potential sharp edges on the tabletop or components. Handle with care, especially during setup.
  • Children and Bystanders: Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the work area.
  • Maintenance: Regularly inspect the table for any signs of wear, damage, or loose fasteners. Tighten all bolts and nuts as needed.

3. Setup

The XPOtool Folding Welding Table is largely pre-assembled for convenience. Minimal setup is required to prepare it for use. Refer to the included instructions for unfolding and securing the components.

  1. Unpack the table from its packaging.
  2. Carefully unfold the frame and tabletop components until they are in the open position.
  3. Secure all locking mechanisms and fasteners to ensure the table is stable and rigid.
  4. Ensure the wheels are properly oriented for mobility or the fixed feet are stable on the ground.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Adjusting Table Height

The table height can be adjusted to four different levels, ranging from 735 mm to 860 mm, to suit various tasks and user preferences. To adjust the height:

  1. Ensure no heavy objects are on the tabletop.
  2. Locate the height adjustment pins on the table legs.
  3. Pull out the pins, adjust the leg to the desired height, and re-insert the pins securely into the corresponding holes.
  4. Repeat for all adjustable legs, ensuring the table is level.

4.2. Adjusting Tabletop Tilt

The tabletop can be tilted from 0° (flat) to 90° (vertical) to accommodate different welding angles and workpiece shapes. To adjust the tilt:

  1. Ensure the tabletop is clear of obstructions.
  2. Loosen the tilt locking levers located on the side supports of the tabletop.
  3. Carefully adjust the tabletop to the desired angle.
  4. Once the desired angle is achieved, firmly tighten the tilt locking levers to secure the tabletop in position. This can be done even while wearing welding gloves.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your welding table:

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the tabletop and frame to remove welding spatter, dust, and debris. Use a wire brush or scraper for stubborn spatter, taking care not to damage the surface finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect all bolts, nuts, and locking mechanisms for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners.
  • Lubrication: Apply a light lubricant to moving parts, such as the tilt mechanism pivots and height adjustment pins, to ensure smooth operation.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the table in a dry, clean environment, preferably in its folded configuration to save space.

6. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Table is wobbly or unstable.Loose fasteners; uneven surface; overloaded.Check and tighten all bolts and nuts. Ensure the table is on a level surface. Reduce load if exceeding 150 kg.
Tabletop tilt mechanism is stiff.Lack of lubrication; debris in mechanism.Clean the mechanism and apply a light lubricant.
Height adjustment pins are difficult to engage.Debris in holes; bent pin.Clean the adjustment holes. Inspect pins for damage and replace if necessary.
