3. Product Overview

The AGSHOME security system is designed to provide comprehensive protection for your property. The core of the system is the Monitoring Hub, which connects all sensors and acts as the alarm siren. Door/window sensors detect unauthorized entry, while the motion sensor monitors for movement within a room. The system can be controlled via a wireless keypad, remote fobs, or the Smart Life mobile application, offering flexibility and convenience.

4. Setup

4.1. Powering the Monitoring Hub

Connect the Monitoring Hub to a standard AC power outlet using the provided power adaptor and USB C cable. The hub features an 8-hour backup battery, ensuring continued operation during power outages. This backup battery is for emergency use only; the hub should always be connected to AC power.

4.2. Smart Life App Installation

Download the 'Smart Life' application from your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android). Register for an account or log in if you already have one.

4.3. Connecting Hub to Wi-Fi

1. Open the Smart Life app and tap '+' to add a new device.
2. Select 'Security & Video Surveillance' and then 'Alarm (Wi-Fi)'.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the hub to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: The system does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.

4.4. Pairing Sensors

Once the hub is connected, you can add the door/window sensors and motion sensor:

1. In the Smart Life app, navigate to your alarm system's device page.
2. Select 'Accessories' or 'Add Device'.
3. Follow the app's instructions to put the hub into pairing mode.
4. For door/window sensors: Separate the two parts of the sensor briefly, then bring them back together. The hub will confirm pairing.
5. For the motion sensor: Trigger the sensor by waving your hand in front of it. The hub will confirm pairing.

4.5. Pairing Keypad and Remote Fobs

Add the keypad and remote fobs as accessories through the Smart Life app, following similar steps as for the sensors. The app will guide you through the process.

4.6. Mounting Components

Use the provided double-sided mounting tape or screws for installation.

• Door/Window Sensors: Mount the two parts of the sensor on the door/window frame and the moving part, ensuring they are aligned and within 1 cm of each other when closed.
• Motion Sensor: Install in a corner of a room, approximately 2-2.5 meters (6.5-8 feet) high, ensuring a clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor. Avoid pointing it directly at heat sources or windows.
• Keypad: Mount near an entry/exit point for easy access.

5. Operating the System

5.1. Arming and Disarming

Your AGSHOME system offers multiple ways to arm and disarm:

• Smart Life App: Use the app on your smartphone to remotely arm, disarm, or set to home mode.
• Keypad: Enter your PIN code and press the 'Arm' or 'Disarm' button.
• Remote Fob: Press the corresponding buttons for 'Arm', 'Disarm', or 'Home' mode within a 15-meter radius.
• Voice Control (Alexa): Integrate your system with Alexa to arm or disarm using voice commands. For example, "Alexa, arm my system."

5.2. Home Mode

Home mode typically arms perimeter sensors (doors/windows) while allowing free movement within the interior (motion sensor disarmed). This is ideal for when you are at home but want to secure entry points.

5.3. Panic Button

On the remote fobs and keypad, a dedicated panic button (often marked with a bell or SOS icon) will immediately trigger the 120 dB siren and send notifications to your phone, regardless of the system's armed status. Use this in emergencies.

5.4. Notifications

When an alarm is triggered, the system will send immediate notifications to your smartphone via the Smart Life app. This includes alerts for open doors/windows, motion detection, or panic button activation.

5.5. Scheduling

The Smart Life app allows you to set schedules for automatic arming and disarming of your system. This feature provides convenience and ensures your home is protected at specific times, such as during work hours or at night.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Hub Battery Backup

The Monitoring Hub includes an internal backup battery that provides up to 8 hours of operation during a power outage. Ensure the hub is always connected to AC power for continuous charging and primary operation. The backup battery is intended for emergency use only.

6.2. Sensor Battery Replacement

Sensors (door/window, motion, keypad, remote fobs) are battery-powered. When a sensor's battery is low, you may receive a notification via the Smart Life app. Replace batteries promptly with the recommended type (refer to individual sensor markings or the app for specific battery types) to ensure uninterrupted protection.

7. Troubleshooting

• System not connecting to Wi-Fi:
  - Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The system does not support 5GHz networks.
  - Check your Wi-Fi signal strength at the hub's location.
  - Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct.
  - Restart your router and the Monitoring Hub.
• Sensor not triggering alarm:
  - Check if the sensor is properly paired with the hub via the Smart Life app.
  - Ensure the sensor's battery is not depleted.
  - For door/window sensors, verify the two parts are correctly aligned and within the specified gap when closed.
  - For motion sensors, ensure there are no obstructions in its detection path.
• App not receiving notifications:
  - Check your smartphone's notification settings for the Smart Life app.
  - Ensure your phone has an active internet connection.
  - Verify the hub is connected to Wi-Fi and online in the app.
• Alarm siren is not loud enough:
  - The siren has a fixed volume of 120 dB. Ensure the hub is not obstructed.
