Setup

Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the controller. Connect the controller to your PS4 console or a USB power adapter using the provided USB-C cable. The light bar on the controller will slowly pulse orange while charging and turn off when fully charged.

Connecting to PS4 Console (Wireless)

1. Ensure your PS4 console is powered on.
2. Connect the controller to the PS4 console using the USB-C cable.
3. Press the PS button on the controller. The light bar will flash, indicating it's pairing.
4. Once paired, the light bar will glow a solid color (e.g., blue for Player 1), and you can disconnect the USB cable for wireless play.
5. To connect wirelessly after initial pairing, simply press the PS button on the controller. It will automatically connect to the last paired PS4 console.

Operating Instructions

Controller Layout

• PS Button: Powers on the controller, connects to the console, and accesses the PS4 system menu.
• SHARE Button: Allows you to share gameplay screenshots and video clips.
• OPTIONS Button: Used to pause games or access in-game menus.
• Touch Pad: Functions as a clickable button and a multi-touch surface for specific game interactions.

Turbo Function

The Turbo function allows for rapid, automatic firing of a button. To activate:

1. Press and hold the button you wish to set to Turbo (e.g., R2).
2. While holding the button, press the Turbo button (located below the touchpad). The light bar will flash to confirm activation.
3. To deactivate, repeat the process: hold the button and press the Turbo button again.

Programming Back Buttons (P1, P2)

The two programmable buttons on the back (P1, P2) can be mapped to any other standard button (e.g., X, O, Triangle, Square, L1, R1, L2, R2, D-Pad directions). Please note that some early instruction guides may contain incorrect programming steps. Follow these instructions:

1. Press and hold the Turbo button for 2 seconds until the light bar starts flashing rapidly. This indicates programming mode.
2. Press the programmable button (P1 or P2) you wish to assign.
3. Press the standard button you want to map to P1 or P2 (e.g., press 'X' if you want P1 to act as 'X').
4. Press the programmable button (P1 or P2) again to confirm and exit programming mode. The light bar will stop flashing.
5. Repeat for the other programmable button if desired.
6. To clear a programmed button, enter programming mode, press the programmable button you want to clear, and then press the Turbo button again.

Audio Features

The controller includes a built-in speaker for enhanced in-game audio effects and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack for connecting your gaming headset. Adjust audio settings via your PS4 console's system menu.

• Controller not connecting/pairing:

  • If issues persist, try resetting the controller. Locate the small reset button on the back of the controller (often near the L2 trigger, inside a small hole). Use a thin object (like a straightened paperclip) to press and hold the button for 3-5 seconds. Then, re-pair the controller with the console via USB.
• Joystick drift or unresponsiveness:
  • The Hall Effect joysticks are designed to prevent drift. If you experience issues, try resetting the controller as described above.
  • Ensure the joysticks are rotated fully in all directions when the controller is first turned on to help calibrate the sensors.
• Buttons unresponsive or glitchy:
  • Ensure the controller is fully charged.
  • Perform a controller reset.
  • For programmable buttons, ensure you are following the correct programming steps as outlined in the "Operating Instructions" section.
• Audio issues (speaker/headset jack):
  • Check your PS4 console's audio settings.
  • Ensure your headset is properly plugged into the 3.5mm jack.
