7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.

7.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray and Used Capsule Container: Empty and rinse the drip tray and used capsule container daily. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry.
  • Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank and rinse it daily. Refill with fresh water before each use.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7.2 Descaling

Descaling is crucial to remove mineral deposits that can build up over time, affecting machine performance and coffee taste. The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and usage.

  1. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling product.
  2. Empty the water tank and fill it with the descaling solution mixed with water according to the descaler's instructions.
  3. Place a large container under the coffee outlet.
  4. Run the descaling solution through the machine by pressing a coffee button until the tank is empty.
  5. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
  6. Run several cycles of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any descaling residue.

Note: Do not use vinegar as a descaling agent, as it can damage internal components.
