2. Shaft Assembly

  1. Align the two halves of the split shaft.
  2. Push them together until the spring-loaded button snaps into the corresponding hole.
  3. Tighten the coupling knob securely to prevent rotation during operation.

3. Handle Attachment

Attach the adjustable anti-vibration handle to the shaft. Position it for comfortable operation and tighten the fasteners securely.

4. Fuel Mixing

This is a 2-stroke engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Refer to the engine manufacturer's instructions for the correct gasoline-to-oil ratio. Use fresh, unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil. Mix fuel in a separate, approved container.

  • Caution: Never use straight gasoline or automotive oil.
  • Warning: Always mix fuel in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.

5. Filling the Fuel Tank

With the engine off and cool, carefully pour the mixed fuel into the fuel tank. Do not overfill. Securely replace the fuel cap.

Operating Instructions

Before starting, ensure you have read and understood all safety instructions.

1. Starting the Engine

  1. Place the trimmer on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Prime the carburetor bulb several times until fuel is visible.
  3. Set the choke lever to the "START" or "CHOKE" position.
  4. Pull the starter rope firmly and smoothly until the engine attempts to start (usually 1-3 pulls).
  5. Once the engine "pops" or briefly starts, move the choke lever to the "RUN" or "HALF-CHOKE" position.
  6. Pull the starter rope again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
  7. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

2. Trimming Techniques

Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands, maintaining a balanced stance. Use a sweeping motion to cut grass and weeds. Avoid hitting hard objects like fences, rocks, or trees, as this can damage the line and the trimmer head.

3. Advancing Trimmer Line (Speedwinder Bump Feed Head)

Your trimmer is equipped with a Speedwinder bump feed head. To advance the line, lightly tap the trimmer head on the ground while the engine is running at full throttle. The line will automatically extend. If the line does not advance, turn off the engine and manually pull out the line or re-spool as needed.

4. Stopping the Engine

Release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to idle down. Move the engine switch to the "OFF" position.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your trimmer. Always ensure the engine is off and cool before performing any maintenance.

1. Air Filter Cleaning

Periodically inspect and clean the air filter. A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance. Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reinstallation. Replace if damaged.

2. Spark Plug Inspection

Check the spark plug for deposits or wear. Clean or replace the spark plug as needed, ensuring the correct gap is maintained according to manufacturer specifications.

3. Trimmer Line Replacement

When the trimmer line runs out, it needs to be replaced. Your Speedwinder bump feed head is designed for easy refills. Refer to the specific instructions for your trimmer head for detailed steps on how to re-spool new line. Use only the recommended diameter and type of trimmer line.

4. General Cleaning and Storage

After each use, clean the trimmer of grass clippings and debris. Store the trimmer in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from children and ignition sources. For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer.
