Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the HopePow 2-in-1 USB Type C to 3.5mm Headphone and Charger Adapter. This device allows simultaneous audio output through a 3.5mm jack and power delivery charging via a USB-C port for compatible devices.

Setup and Connection

The HopePow 2-in-1 adapter is designed for easy plug-and-play operation. No software installation or complex setup is required.

1. Connect to Device: Insert the USB-C male connector of the adapter into the USB-C port of your compatible smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
2. Connect Headphones: Plug your 3.5mm wired headphones or auxiliary cable into the 3.5mm audio jack on the adapter.
3. Connect Charger (Optional): For simultaneous charging, connect a USB-C charging cable from a power source (e.g., wall adapter) to the USB-C charging port on the adapter.

Operation and Features

This 2-in-1 adapter provides both audio and charging functionalities for your USB-C enabled devices.

• High-Quality Audio: Features a built-in DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chip supporting 24bit/96kHz stereo quality for clear audio transmission. It supports both CTIA and OMTP 3.5mm headphone jack standards.
• Fast Charging Support: The adapter supports fast charging. For optimal charging speeds, it is recommended to use a PD (Power Delivery) compatible wall charger.
• No Data Transfer: Please note that this adapter does not support data transfer.

Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HopePow adapter, follow these care guidelines:

• Storage: Store the adapter in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the adapter. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Handling: Avoid excessive bending or pulling on the cable to prevent damage to the internal wires and connectors. The nylon braided material provides enhanced durability.
• Connector Protection: The connector heads are designed with good resistance to heat and corrosion.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your adapter, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Audio Output:
  • Ensure the adapter is fully inserted into your device's USB-C port.
  • Verify your headphones are properly connected to the 3.5mm jack.
  • Check your device's audio settings to ensure output is directed to the adapter.
• No Charging:
  • Confirm the charging cable and power source are functional.
  • Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to the adapter's USB-C charging port.
  • Use a PD-compatible wall charger for fast charging.
• Calling/Music Control Issues:
  • Important Note: If your USB-C device already has a built-in 3.5mm audio port (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S9/S8/Note 9/Note 8/S10, iPad Pro 11", iPad Pro 12.9"), this adapter may not support calling or music control functions.
  • The adapter is not compatible with iPhone devices using a Lightning (LTG) port or Moto Z.
  • For iPad Pro 2018, phone call and music control are not supported.
• Intermittent Playback/Volume Issues (Specific to Google Pixel 8 Pro):
  • Some users have reported issues with music apps playing/pausing constantly and volume changing automatically when using this adapter with Google Pixel 8 Pro devices. If you experience this, the adapter may not be fully compatible with your specific Pixel 8 Pro unit.
