Connectivity Modes
The Air75 V2 supports three connectivity modes: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth.
Wired Connection
Connect the USB-C cable from the keyboard to your computer. Ensure the mode switch on the side of the keyboard is set to "Wired".
2.4G Wireless Connection
Locate the 2.4G USB receiver (typically stored in the keyboard's bottom compartment). Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer. Set the mode switch on the keyboard to "2.4G". The keyboard should automatically connect. The left RGB light bar will indicate connection status.

Operating Instructions
System Mode Switching
The keyboard supports both Mac and Windows layouts. Use the dedicated switch on the side of the keyboard to select your operating system (Mac/Windows). This adjusts key functions like Command/Alt to match your chosen OS.
RGB Backlight Control
The Air75 V2 features customizable RGB backlighting.
- Change lighting effects: Use the designated key combinations (e.g., Fn + certain keys) to cycle through over 21 different lighting effects. Refer to the keyboard's key legends or the VIA software for specific combinations.
- Adjust brightness: Use the brightness control keys (often Fn + arrow keys or dedicated function keys) to increase or decrease backlight intensity.
- Customize effects: For advanced customization, including per-key lighting and complex animations, download and use the QMK/VIA software.
Key Remapping and Customization (QMK/VIA)
The Air75 V2 is compatible with QMK/VIA firmware, allowing extensive customization of key assignments and lighting effects. To utilize this feature:
- Download the VIA software from the official NuPhy website.
- Connect the keyboard to your computer via the USB-C cable.
- Launch the VIA software. The interface will allow you to remap keys, create macros, and customize lighting layers according to your preferences.
Hot-Swappable Switches
The Air75 V2 features hot-swappable switches, enabling you to change mechanical switches without the need for soldering. This allows for easy customization of your typing feel.
- To remove a switch: Use the provided switch puller. Grip the switch firmly with the puller and gently pull upwards until the switch detaches from the PCB.
- To install a switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the corresponding sockets on the PCB. Press down firmly and evenly until the switch clicks securely into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and functionality of your keyboard.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the keycaps and aluminum frame.
- For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove keycaps. Use compressed air to clear any dust or debris from beneath the switches.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keyboard's finish or components.
Battery Care
To prolong the lifespan of your keyboard's battery, avoid frequent full discharges. It is recommended to charge the keyboard when the battery indicator shows low power. Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Keyboard not connecting wirelessly | Ensure the mode switch on the side of the keyboard is set correctly (2.4G or Bluetooth). Check if the 2.4G receiver is properly inserted or if Bluetooth is enabled and paired on your device. Try restarting the keyboard and your device. |
| Keys not responding | Check if the keyboard is charged. Ensure it's properly connected (wired, 2.4G, or Bluetooth). If individual keys are not responding, they might need to be reseated or replaced using the hot-swappable feature. |
| RGB lighting not working | Ensure the keyboard is powered on. Check brightness settings using the appropriate key combinations. If using VIA software, verify lighting configurations within the application. |
| Keyboard frequently disconnects | Ensure the keyboard is within optimal range of your device (for wireless connections). Check for potential interference from other wireless devices. Consider updating the keyboard firmware if a newer version is available from NuPhy. |
