5. Setup

5.1 Attaching the Side Handle

  1. Loosen the side handle by rotating it counter-clockwise.
  2. Slide the handle onto the collar of the drill.
  3. Adjust the handle to a comfortable and secure position.
  4. Tighten the side handle by rotating it clockwise until it is firmly secured.

5.2 Installing and Removing Drill Bits

  1. To Install: Ensure the drill is unplugged. Insert the drill bit into the chuck jaws. Use the chuck handle (key) to tighten the chuck by rotating it clockwise until the bit is firmly gripped. Tighten in all three keyholes for maximum security.
  2. To Remove: Ensure the drill is unplugged. Insert the chuck handle (key) into one of the keyholes and rotate counter-clockwise to loosen the chuck jaws. Remove the drill bit.

5.3 Setting the Depth Gauge

  1. Insert the depth gauge into the hole on the side handle.
  2. Adjust the depth gauge to the desired drilling depth. The tip of the drill bit should extend beyond the end of the depth gauge by the desired drilling depth.
  3. Tighten the side handle to secure the depth gauge in place.
