  2. Power Connection: Connect the power supply to your track system as per the track manual. Ensure the power is switched off before placing cars on the track.
  3. Car Placement: Carefully place the Lotus Esprit S1 slot car onto the track, ensuring the guide blade is correctly seated within the track slot.
  4. Controller Connection: Connect your hand controllers to the track power base.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Switch on the power to your Scalextric track.
  2. Control: Use the hand controller to regulate the speed of your slot car. Press the trigger to accelerate and release to slow down.
  3. Cornering: Adjust speed when approaching corners to prevent the car from deslotting. Magnatraction helps keep the car firmly in its slot, but excessive speed can still cause deslotting.
  4. Lights: The car features working tail lights, which will illuminate when power is applied to the track and the car is in motion.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your slot car.

  • Braid Plate Maintenance: The car features an easy change braid system. Periodically check the braids for wear and tear. Worn braids can affect electrical contact and car performance. Replace them as needed.
  • Cleaning: Keep the car's wheels, tires, and guide blade free from dust and debris. A soft brush or cloth can be used for cleaning. Ensure the track is also clean for best performance.
  • Magnatraction: The magnatraction magnet helps with grip. Ensure it is free from metallic debris that could reduce its effectiveness.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the slot car in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage.
