3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Track Assembly
The Scalextric C1434M set offers 12 possible track layouts. Refer to the included layout guide for various configurations. To assemble:
- Carefully connect the track pieces by aligning the connectors and pressing them firmly together. Ensure all connections are secure to maintain electrical continuity.
- Integrate the powerbase into your chosen track layout.
- Attach the track barriers to the sides of the track, especially on curves, to prevent cars from derailing.
- Connect the transformer to the powerbase and plug it into a suitable power outlet.

3.2 Car Preparation
- Place the Aston Martin GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 slot cars onto the track, ensuring the guide blades are correctly seated in the track slots.
- Ensure the braid plates on the underside of the cars are clean and make good contact with the track rails.
3.3 Controller Setup
- Insert 2x AAA batteries into each wireless hand controller (batteries not included).
- The controllers will automatically connect to the ARC AIR powerbase.

4.1 ARC AIR (App Race Control) System
The ARC AIR system allows wireless race management via a smart device (smartphone or tablet). Download the official Scalextric ARC app from your device's app store.
- Connect your smart device to the ARC AIR powerbase via Bluetooth 4.0.
- Use the app to select race modes, monitor lap times, fuel usage, tire wear, and other race statistics.
- The app also allows for pit stops and power-ups, enhancing the racing experience.

4.2 Wireless Hand Controllers
The ergonomic wireless hand controllers provide precise control over your slot cars. Press the trigger to accelerate and release to brake. Some controllers may feature a rumble pack for immersive feedback.
4.3 Magnatraction System
The patented Magnatraction System uses powerful magnets in the car chassis to provide extra downforce, helping cars stay on the track, especially at high speeds and through corners. This reduces skidding and improves stability.

- Digital Plug Ready (DPR): The cars are designed to be easily upgraded to digital racing with a simple digital plug (sold separately).

5. Maintenance
- Track Cleaning: Regularly wipe track surfaces with a clean, lint-free cloth to remove dust and debris, which can affect electrical contact.
- Braid Plates: Check car braid plates for wear and tear. Replace them when they become frayed or too short to ensure optimal electrical pickup.
- Track Connections: Ensure all track pieces are securely connected. Loose connections can lead to intermittent power supply to the cars.
- Car Maintenance: Keep car axles and gears free from hair or lint. A small amount of light oil can be applied to axles for smoother running.
