- Install the Mounting Plate:
Route the IC cable through the hole on the bottom of the mounting plate. Position the mounting plate over the spindle and secure it to the door with the provided screws. Ensure the cable is not pinched.
- Install the Interior Unit Assembly:
Connect the IC cable from the exterior assembly to the interior unit. Ensure the knob on the interior unit is in the vertical position for right-opening doors or horizontal for left-opening doors. Secure the interior unit to the mounting plate with the provided screws. Do not install batteries until the lock is completely installed and tested.
- Insert Batteries:
Open the battery cover on the interior unit. Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery cover.
- Set Door Handing:
The lock needs to know your door's handing (left or right opening). On the interior unit, locate the L/R switch and set it according to your door's opening direction. For right-opening doors, the knob should be vertical. For left-opening doors, the knob should be horizontal.

- Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and dry for accurate readings.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- App cannot find or connect to the deadbolt:
For initial setup, configure the keyless deadbolt using the app. If the app cannot find or connect, try resetting the lock. Refer to the user manual for detailed reset instructions.
- Fingerprint reader is temperamental or has low recognition rate:
Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint, ensuring proper placement and coverage of the sensor during the registration process. The lock's recognition rate is 99% under optimal conditions.
- Deadbolt not retracting fully or locking inconsistently:
Check the battery level and replace batteries if necessary. Ensure the lock is properly aligned and installed according to the instructions. Verify that the door frame strike plate is correctly positioned and not obstructing the deadbolt.
- Lock makes an alarm sound despite full batteries:
This may indicate an unauthorized attempt to open the lock or a system error. Try resetting the lock. If the issue persists, contact customer service.
