Introduction

Thank you for choosing the OMOTON Gaming Keyboard. This full-size, 115-key membrane keyboard with RGB backlighting and an ergonomic wrist rest is designed for an enhanced gaming and typing experience. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of your keyboard.

Setup

1. Connecting the Keyboard

The OMOTON Gaming Keyboard connects via a wired USB cable. Simply plug the USB connector into an available USB port on your PC, laptop, Xbox, PS4, or PS5. The keyboard is plug-and-play and should be recognized automatically by your operating system.

2. Attaching the Wrist Rest

The magnetic wrist rest can be easily attached to the front edge of the keyboard. Align the magnetic points on the wrist rest with those on the keyboard and gently bring them together until they snap into place. This provides ergonomic support during use.

3. Installing Programmable Software (Optional)

For advanced customization, including macro settings and custom profiles, download the dedicated software from the official OMOTON website. Follow the on-screen instructions for installation.

Operating Instructions

1. RGB Backlighting Control

The keyboard features RGB backlighting with multiple modes and brightness levels.

  • Changing Lighting Modes: Press FN + 1 through 9 to cycle through 9 different lighting modes.
  • Adjusting Brightness: Press FN + Page Up to increase brightness, and FN + Page Down to decrease brightness (3 levels available).
  • Turning Backlight On/Off: Press FN + Scroll Lock (indicated by a light bulb icon) to toggle the backlight.

2. Programmable Keys and Macros

The keyboard includes dedicated macro keys (G1-G6) and profile keys (M1-M3), along with a macro recording key (MR) and a volume scroll wheel.

  • Macro Keys (G1-G6): These keys can be assigned custom functions or sequences of commands using the programmable software.
  • Profile Keys (M1-M3): Switch between different custom profiles configured in the software, allowing for quick changes in key assignments and lighting.
  • Macro Recording Key (MR): Use this key in conjunction with the software to record and assign macros on the fly. Refer to the software's guide for detailed instructions.
  • Volume Scroll Wheel: Located on the top right, rotate this wheel to adjust the system volume up or down.

3. Media Keys

The keyboard includes 12 media keys (F1-F12) accessible by pressing the FN key in combination with the corresponding F-key. These allow for quick control of media playback and system functions.

  • FN + F1-F12: Control functions such as media player, volume mute, play/pause, stop, previous track, next track, email, web browser, calculator, and search.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Keyboard

To maintain the keyboard's performance and appearance, regular cleaning is recommended.

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and surface.
  • For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the keyboard.
  • The membrane design offers some spill resistance, but it is not waterproof. Avoid direct liquid exposure.
