Setup Guide
1. Charging the Camera
Before initial use, fully charge the camera's built-in battery using the provided USB cable. Connect the cable to the camera's charging port and a standard 5V USB power adapter (not included). A full charge ensures optimal performance and allows the solar panel to maintain the charge effectively.
2. App Installation and Account Creation
Download the Imou Life app from your mobile device's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store). Register for a new account or log in if you already have one. The app is essential for configuring, controlling, and monitoring your camera.
3. Camera Pairing with App
- Open the Imou Life app and tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Scan the QR code located on the camera or its packaging.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the installation location.
- Once connected, you can name your device and set up initial preferences.
4. Physical Installation
Select a suitable outdoor location for installation. Consider areas with clear views, good Wi-Fi signal, and direct sunlight exposure for the solar panel. The camera is IP66 weatherproof, suitable for various outdoor conditions.
- Mounting the Camera: Use the provided mounting bracket and screws to securely attach the camera to a wall or ceiling. Ensure it is mounted at a height that provides optimal coverage and detection.
- Mounting the Solar Panel: Position the solar panel in an area that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Connect the solar panel cable to the camera's charging port. The solar panel is designed to continuously charge the camera's battery.

Operating the Camera
1. Live View and Playback
Access the Imou Life app to view live footage from your camera. You can also review recorded events from the timeline. The camera supports local storage via a Micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included) and optional cloud storage.
2. Pan & Tilt Control
The camera offers a 330° horizontal pan and 90° vertical tilt, allowing you to adjust the viewing angle remotely via the app. This provides comprehensive coverage of your surveillance area.

3. Night Vision Modes

4. Motion Detection and Active Deterrence

For active deterrence, the camera can activate a 110dB siren and an integrated spotlight to deter intruders.
Maintenance
